Beck has value as a hitter and pitcher. He had one of the biggest at bats/hits of the season.

It's assumed that Dathe was given an extra year.

Former JUCO guys that played NAIA or D2 or 3 were given one more year of D1 eligibility.

There is a kid named Kevin Karstetter that’s about to be in his 7th year of college.

Arkansas On3 mod seems to think LSU has something to do with Volchko having not popped to them yet. Something to monitor. I wonder if some $ we had set aside for some signees has now been freed up haha

Thanks for the update. I guess you can mark Woods as drafted (and not in the portal).

Dathe looks to have a similar profile to Cowan. Nice depth piece

We're a couple weeks away from 2027s being able to commit. I think Drake Hawpe will be one of our primary targets for that class. Brad Hawpe's son.

He was drafted by the Dodgers yesterday.

The JUCO draft and follow was re-instituted a few years ago. So technically, Edwards could not sign with the Dodgers now, play another season in JUCO, and then sign with them after his season next year.

The Orioles drafted a whole bunch of JUCO guys, so I'm interested to see if that's something they are doing.

Drew Pestka is a JUCO guy we recruited but didn't get committed that ended up signing with the Reds after a draft and follow.

It is still very intriguing on how the roster management will take place at this point. 36/34 right now and I feel they still plan to add 2-3 portal guys before its over.

Is it me or does it seem like there is still some vagueness in the roster limit rules?

Seems like it. Until we can get a better understanding of injury redshirt and regular redshirt rules it is very up in the air on how it can be handled.

Anyone have any guesses as to the fate of Beck after the tweet yesterday? Is he officially done, or is the door still open for a return to the roster?

May have been a deal where he might get another year but it isn't finalized yet and he jumped the gun on his tweet and was advised to take it down. Would be a nice depth piece with a shot to compete for 1B/DH. Guess we will wait and see what comes of it.

Would make the roster crunching even harder if he does have another year. I'm thinking they go after Moore and Volchko in the portal and see where that gets them. If they land one of them and Beck were to get his extra year that will have the roster at 38/34.

His first year was at JC, and has only played 3 years of D1 baseball. I'm not familiar with the new ruling but seems like that could open the door for another season.

Obviously Jay is all over it, but we seem extremely tilted towards LH bats. Is there a RH outfield bat on the roster other than William Patrick? Can Pearson play LF?
