What are the chances he’s getting the information from this board?
Regarding DES - if they're drafted in the first 10, they're gone. That's also true for pretty much anyone. The new draft structure has effectively assured that. The first player to not sign was drafted in the 11th round, and he was a DES from JUCO.

When I first started seeing odds on Jones and Herring at 50/50 by some posters, I chuckled and immediately 0 came to mind.
But a recent conversation I had with someone who would know about LSU and NIL actually might move that percentage higher than I previously thought, if you're numbers are correct in regards to draft eligible SOs
Not many here would guess correctly who was paid the most NIL last year in baseball, but that number was nearly half a million, and he made a play that directly led to the NC. I was also told that Jay is directly involved with such matters, so I now do think it is possible we will find out how important Jay feels that these 2 guys are to next season.
We could probably come close to their draft bonus, it would just use much of our budget up, and would probably just depend on how eager those guys are to take their shot at MLB, and less of a financial decision.
As many already know, Crews and Skenes gave their monies to charity and sacrificed for the good of the team last year.

Some recent Josh Jordan follows of note - sorry if these have been discussed.
Justin Nadeau - 2B from Jacksonville University
Tyler Pitzer - RHP from South Carolina
Gavin Kilen - MIF from Louisville
Chris Stanfield - OF from Auburn
Easton Winfield - Corner OF from ULM
Landon Beidelschies - LHP from Ohio State
Myles Patton - LHP from Long Beach satate
Patton, Winfield, Nadeau, and Kilen are the most intriguing for me.

Jay will have a feel of what number Herring and Jones want

I’m not interested in Stanfield unless we are planning to play a Wofford style of ball.

I came straight to this thread this morning. I'm not even venturing over to the shitshow the Rant probably is right now.

Kilen would be huge IMO. Dude seems like a stud.
One positive I guess about being out early is the ability to get on guys in the portal earlier. Really like the pieces we already have and the experience young dudes got this year.

Kilen and Lebron will be very sought after middle infielders. Kilen's pops played at ULM. Is Lebron in the portal, though?

Mavrick Rizy putting his name in the hat for a big role as a freshman.
Here are his summer league stats after two starts in the Futures League: LINK

Derek Williams from Wichita St is in the portal. He's a 1B/OF/DH type that we looked at when he was in JUCO. I don't think we'll be on him now that we have that category already filled with incoming freshmen and JUCO guys, but I guess he's worth monitoring.

Tyler Pitzer is very intriguing also

Sounds like our first priority is the shortstop from Louisville

Another intriguing follow from the lsu baseball recruiting twitter page is
OF Chase Krewson - Duke
Obviously a connection here…
Hit .328 as a freshman this year with 5 bombs

Chase Krewson and Tyler Pitzer were high school teammates.

Nice work. So really anything inside the top 4 or 5 rounds they are gone.
You can extend this out to top 10 rounds for anyone really.
Think only 1 player drafted in top 10 rounds didnt sign last year, someone in 10th round.
