Eyanson becomes that much more important if Hayden jumps to MLB IMO.
The good news is that Eyanson has so many visits scheduled, he won't be finished until after Day 3 of the draft, so we should know about Hayden by then.

In my mind I haven’t allowed myself to get excited about Hayden. Dylan Tebrake broke me.

Personally I'd like it if they were able to get Kucherak back into the fold rather than take another portal infielder.
I’ve been curious if this was an option or if he burned bridges

At least he’s having Joe Doyle on the show today
Couldn’t deliver on that today either unfortunately.

A lot of phones are down in the area. Our phones at my office were down the majority of the day.

I don't think Jay would turn away any LHP, but will not overspend for it.
I think the same goes for catcher. He'll take another but not oversell or overspend. You still have the Arrambide and Priester situations to consider, along with some other guys that can catch.
Eyanson may be the last splash, so to speak.

And Doyle.
Edit, apparently Doyle not official yet. But as Project alluded to, shouldn’t be long.

I know the upside (and I'd love to have him) but we didn't have much trouble with Doyle this season. He gave some teams fits and will certainly grow in Knoxville, though.
Doyle, and especially Fischer, are nice pickups for the Vols.
I'd like to have Matthew Dallas now. 6'5 lefty with Team USA experience, and I'm sure he has a chip on his shoulder.

Someone posted on another message board they heard Dallas was looking for a guaranteed starting role… or at least a clearer shot at that. Not sure he would get that here.
Posted on 7/9/24 at 7:49 pm to WJP23
I don’t see Jay making too many guaranteed promises to anyone anymore.
Posted on 7/9/24 at 7:52 pm to WJP23
No way he'd get that guarantee at LSU. He'll have to take a step back to get that. He can surely come here to get leverage innings on a RH heavy pitching staff. And history has shown that you'll probably end up starting games here anyway if you take care of business in your role.

Wouldn’t be shocked to see him go to Memphis with his family

There is a kid at Loranger that I'm hoping we lock down.

Yeah
There are some others on the same 2026 Luccini summer team that I hope we recruit as well, but that's mostly because I want to see someone from my alma mater play at LSU.

Wait, you’re from Tangi?
Posted on 7/10/24 at 8:35 am to RATeamWannabe
No, the other guys I want recruited are from my alma mater.
I tried to re-work my wording to clear that up but was unsuccessful.
Holton is just a kid that's really coming on strong lately and has a lot of potential. I think we're on him pretty strong, but I have no idea our interest or his interest.

Their 27 National Team is loaded also. They seem to be doing it right. Two teams per age group with high end kids. All these other Showcase orgs have one pitcher per team per age group and is very watered down.
