Guess Trev Albert’s will be handling the exit interviews.

Maybe so. Wouldn’t surprise me if he is an LSU lean based on what I’m seeing. Then he’d be a draft sweat as he may just be ready to start pro ball.
Doyle has him up 74 spots at 229
After his combine performance. That puts him about 50 spots behind Jones and in the same range that he has Braswell (up 50
Spots) and Herring.

I didnt realize Knipp redshirted at Bama in 2021.

Apparently he gave pitching a shot and was up to 98.

PER FSS
227
+74 RHP
Grant Knipp
Campbell
HOMETOWN: Louisville, KY
HEIGHT: 6-2
WEIGHT: 220
BAT/THROW: R-R
Knipp epitomizes "raw power". At the plate, he boasts some of the loudest exit velocity data you can find in the Big South. That said, his future could be on the mound. Already touching 98 with a developing slider, scouts like the arm talent and projection as a future leverage arm in an MLB bullpen. He'll be 22.7 for the draft, so leverage won't be on his side, but his stuff has certainly jumped the last calendar year and scouts have taken notice.

If jared jones comes back he does not need to try and play catcher LSU needs to find the best defensive catcher and ride that
I randomly had a conversation with Josh Jordan before the season. He said then that Jones was a real solid catcher and was playing 1B bc he could which that allowed them to get Milazzo, Travinski, and Neal on the field. He said that (as the catchers’s coach) he’d feel completely comfortable with Jared as his full time catcher.
If Jones wants to come back and catch, I’m in. I don’t see it happening but I’d love it.

That should be good for feeding the portal.

Think we get any guys from Texas or A&M?
Posted on 6/26/24 at 7:56 am to GeauxFish31
Laviolette is the big one with connections here. Is Cortez draft eligible?
I was worried about his guys following Schloss to UT but sounds like he burnt a lot of bridges handling the move the way he did.

I would be selling the sh*t out of we play at Texas next year to those A&M kids who want some revenge for the way Schloss left them behind
Posted on 6/26/24 at 8:05 am to TooncesLeftNut
I bet a lot of them still go to UT

I'd be surprised if more than 1 or 2 follow the staff. I'm thinking it will be nearly zero.
The A&M players are pissed off right now.

Everyone's going to say they want LaVoiolette but he's going to be paid by either A&M or Texas. He's been pretty loyal to that staff but I could see that changing very soon
Grahovac's only ties are out west and I don't see him going back out there...honestly it wouldn't surprise me to see him end up at another SEC West but he seemed pretty loyal to A&M for awhile.
One name that interests me is LHP Justin Lamkin.

I just don't see it, most of these players hate Texas, what their coach did isn't going to help. Not to mention he didn't even tell some of the players in person, Texas players knew before A&M players. And he took all of their assistant coaches with him. The worst part, you are wondering how invested the coaching staff was in the CWS finals with everything swirling around.
for 99% of those guys, it's F*** off to Schloss

As they should be. They had a fantastic season and left it all on the field in the championship game only to have ALL of your coaches walk away the next day.

There is no staff now lol, so unless he is loyal to A&M....

I was going to ask about Shane Sdao, sophomore lefty not draft eligible.
48.2 IP, 42 H, 55 K, 9 BB, .235 BAA, 2.96 ERA, 1.05 WHIP
Threw in 20 games, starting in 5
I'm all about strike throwing lefties (who also dont get shelled)

I'm sure DVH has fired up the tamper-phone on full blast for this.
