Well, the portal definitely will make the offseason a bit more exciting. Is there a deadline for transfers to make their commitment?

Kendall has been tweeting some transfer news all day and man Wichita St. is losing tons of production to the portal.

I'm back from travel and will be able to dig more into all this stuff.
Applebey to the Ohio Valley League is a new league for LSU. I've kept up with it in the past, they usually get a lot of JUCO guys, but I've seen some SEC players there before.
Eddie Saldivar from Long Beach is in the portal. Jordan is on him, Jay has a previous connection to him. I think Jay is also friends with the Long Beach coach. Saldivar made his name in a series against Mississippi State as a Freshman. I think he may be a draft eligible sophomore so the portal may be a back up plan.

We never really heard what his injury was. It didn't seem to be TJ. He was off and on injured as a freshman at JUCO and over the summer. So who knows.
Zeb Ruddell will be playing for the Bethesda Big Train in the Cal Ripken League. We used to send players to that league every year, but to a different team, the Gaithersburg Giants.

I’ve seen him play since he was young playing travel ball for Prodigy I think.. Fastest kid I’ve ever seen run the bases and roam the outfield. Only saw a little of him over the last few years but he’s one of those athletes that just has it… whatever that is, he’s got it.

yea he can play. i didnt see him this year so not sure if he is at the LSU level or not, but like you said, he has the atheletism.

Seeing players with numbers like this in the transfer portal along with a lot of others so far plus JUCO guys will make the top programs stronger and stronger as the years go by. It will be harder and harder for coaches to manage rosters and especially hard to not get a reputation of a coach who gets younger guys and then tosses them aside when a better transfer situation comes along.
I know that is all part of it now, but will still be interesting to see how it is handled.

I think the kid from North Florida as well. Alex Lodise although I think teams could be loooking at him as a different infield position but played SS for them.
