The Keller kid is intriguing. He started his career at Embry Riddle but redshirted there. He’s got a starters workload while most of the others are relievers. The two guys from Hillborough seem like real possibilities.

I recognize the Prosser name/face. I've done some research and can't put my finger on it, other than he may have been active as a youngster on the travel ball scene and run across some of our guys along the way.

It was a combined no hitter with 5 pitchers I think. However, Keisel went 5 1/3 0 H 11 Ks. That’s not bad.

I thought his comments in The Athletic were especially stupid considering half his starting rotation came from the portal and were guys we recruited as well.

Yeah similar to what Cooper did this past weekend with 5 no hit innings.
Against Cal Baptist is pretty impressive though. Solid program there.

2022 SS Luke Hill from Episcopal who went to Arizona State had a great weekend + last night and is starting at SS.
Was the former #4 overall player in the state and Top 500 player overall in PG.
7 for 11, 3 doubles, 1 SO, 2 BB so far...no errors from SS spot in 4 games with 14 assists and 7 PO.
Potentially a guy to monitor for the portal in the future? Anyone know if Jay went after him? I saw he committed to ASU end of 2021 so he seemed to be available when Jay was here, signed with them in Apr 2022.

He was originally committed to Tulane. He was unattached when Jay got here and I think we kicked the tires on him, but I don't know how far it went or what his interest level was.
If he's already starting there (and they're on the upswing) and with our upcoming infield classes, I don't see him in the cards for us in the future.

For anyone looking to do some early portal speculating, New Mexico State became the first school to fire their coach this season after starting 0-7 with a loss to an NAIA school. They did debut some awesome new uniforms this year though.
