Little is still too inconsistent for me. Can't trust him as a starter or closer at this point. Maybe a set up type guy on the backend who has a short leash. Feel like Moffett is the same type from his fall performances. Flashes of greatness followed by an outing with 4-5 BBs. Can't have that inconsistency in the closing role.

This will be the first year that Little will be facing guys his own age in college. I think it will start to click with him after working with Wes. I see him as a back of the bullpen candidate more than a starter candidate.

Same view for me. Fine tune that electric stuff and if you can get 1-2 good innings out of him then let him be your bridge or the closer. Can't wait to see how the early season goes with mixing roles and figuring it out.

Thanks everyone for the thoughts on who among that trio (Noot, Shores, Little) will be counted on most in June. we have had arms seemingly come out of nowhere late to help (Coleman, Chad Jones) and with crushing effect.

Little’s 2022 peripherals as similar to Ty Floyd’s 2022. I think he’ll look different in the spring.
Also, his numbers out the bullpen last year:
1.93 ERA
0.89 WHIP
28ip
18h
6 er
7 bb
36k

They really liked Little at Vandy he was just inconsistent at times. If coach Wes can get that fixed Little has a tremendous upside as a pitcher.

I still can't believe we pulled Wes Johnson away from the Twins.
I don't think the Twins can either.

Little was very young, as Project has mentioned. He should be moving into prime territory with the right guidance - not that he had poor guidance at Vandy, but a change of scenery, routine, and culture can do alot for a kid.
It's still a wait and see on him for me. My hopes are high, though, I just haven't set any expectations yet.

I’m so happy we have this thread to discuss baseball since the other board is a shite show right now.

I got banned from the twins subreddit when we hired Wes. May have had a little too fun

Jason Bollman is back on the roster
ETA: I think he’s a Covid year guy anyway

How many players still need to be cut or redshirted off roster before the deadline?
Posted on 1/16/23 at 7:28 pm to Bab0711
I’m pretty certain the roster is set. Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

It's not done. Roster limit is 35 with a possible addition of 5 covid seniors to give 40 man roster. At the very minimum, 2 people need to be cut, or taken off the roster for this year at least.

I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure Coleman and Appleby are hurt for the year and won’t count agains the roster limit. That leaves 40 total with the 5 senior Covid players so yes, it’s done.
I know for sure on Coleman, I’m less sure on Appleby though.
