I think we have the makings of a top 5 pitching staff in the country. I'm just not sure where each guy will slot in yet. Other staffs have somewhat of a clearer rotation and relief roles.

Staff is coming around nicely. There will be no Skenes as a stopper but up and down they are as good last year on paper before injuries.

Tired of reading about Arkansas in this thread. I know that

Tolle should be very good. Elite if he makes another jump like he did his Fr to So years. Looking at the numbers, I don’t see how Hampton was 1st team all B12. 5.50 ERA, 1.60 WHIP, K/9 well under 1. Who do you like?

All 3 of those guys can be good.

Looking at stats can be dangerous. If you just looked at them, hurd aint gonna be shite either

Add Wake and Texas into the conversation nationally.

Great point I think those two groups set up nicely.

If we highlight some of the usual top staffs in the SEC.

-Will be nice to see Florida replacing their 1-2 (Caglione is an amazing talent but still not sold on him sticking as a Friday night guy).
-Tennessee will be replacing their top 4 out of 5 arms.
-South Carolina replacing their 1-2.

The SEC will always be king but if there's ever a year for a non SEC team to make a deep run in Omaha I think it's next season (honestly it's good for the sport).

With the unpinning of the baseball thread in the Rant, it makes it more likely.

Last year the the new thread was started a week or so before the introductory press conference. I'm going to try to wait until that happens before starting the new thread this year. So far this thread is shorter than last year's at the same time.

Last year it was on like August 22nd or something. I'm guessing it will be around the same time this year. Is that when classes start?

Dawson Willis (CJs brother), an infielder at LSUE, seems to be emerging as a potential LSU recruit. He played this summer for the Elkhart County Miracle in the Northern League this summer. Trying to track down some stats.

LSUE stats

ETA: Northern League stats Don't know much about the league, but I'm about to dig in on it because their website is very easy to use.

56 stolen bases in just under 100 games played between the two leagues. Played shortstop all summer it looks like. Tall and skinny, interested to see what weight he's listed at on the LSUE fall roster.

If he can play shortstop and can run, he can play pretty much anywhere. Could be a super utility guy for us down the road.
