Does Ruddell bat L or R?

Apparently Kaiden Wilson flipped to A&M.

With Wilson's flip to A&M that puts us with 3 LHPs in the upcoming class, one of which is a near lock to go pro (Cameron Johnson). The others are LSU leans because they're in state kids, but they're going to be draft sweats (Brown, Anderson).
I could see us dipping into JUCOs again for another lefty to make sure we're balanced there. I don't think we lose any off the roster this year though, so they may not see it as a priority for the 2023 class/2024 season.
ETA: Some additional context on Wilson, he was in the bottom 3 or 4 players in our class according to PG. He's the 6th best player in A&Ms class now. A&M has 22 high school players in their 2023 class right now. That's insane considering they're not exactly loaded with draft prospects.

not surprised, they are building something good up there in ruston.

Anderson isn’t throwing his senior year of HS, right? If so I would say he’s almost a lock to come to school. Obviously anything can happen though.

Yeah he is ranked #228 overall in PG which is quite high actually. Out of our 4 LHP we had though he was #4.
Cam Johnson is #17
Kade Anderson is #101
Jake Brown is #119
Pretty crazy time we live in where a Top 250 overall left handed pitcher decommits to go elsewhere and we're like, meh

Buddy, if LSU gets Brown on campus that would be awesome!!!

They are now firmly in the place formerly occupied by ULL when Robichaux was there. Their coach is a genuinely good dude that makes you want to pull for them. Their fans make you want them to lose every game in embarrassing fashion because they are the most miserable human beings on the planet and even calling them human beings is a stretch.

only the internet fans from what i have dealt with.
and yea they are firmly in the spot robicheaux built ULL into.
LSU
Tech
ULL
Southeastern/Mcneese
all are in very good spots right now.
although southeastern didnt have a great record last 3 years, they do have 4 regional appearences in 8 years under Riser.
i think McNeese is in the best spot to be 3rd long term if Hill stays and they can get some money to upgrade facilities. the field is nice, but needs hurricane damage fixed but they need better overall facilities. Hill has done a great job though fixing up what they have and really making it better/functional.
Deggs is really interesting at ULL. He is much better than getting credit for, pretty much the same as Tony's last 2 years. Im not sure on his recruiting though and I have not seen a bunch of former SEC transfers going there like La Tech has had. I think the next 2 seasons will be key to lettig us know if he is the right fit or not.

Quick question, sorry it's off topic.
Has NCAA / SEC made any comments about potentially banning the shift now that MLB made the move? TIA

Not that I’ve seen, probably wouldn’t come up until after this upcoming season if I had to guess

If I'm not mistaken, SLU had several key injuries last year. Record wasn't good but they definitely still had some highs. I think they'll be pretty good this year.

We seem to be shifting more defensively than last year. In fact, Pearson would have four or 5 more hits this fall without the second baseman playing shallow right field.

correct and they came back for the tourney and they made a run and actually beat McNeese in the ship to take the auto bid.

From what I'm hearing in town, this may be Tech's best team ever.

I thought La Tech lost a good bit of pitching. I know they bring back alot of production on offense.

Perfect Game is showing 2024 CIF/RHP Kale Fountain as a commitment. He’s from Nebraska and was previously committed to Florida State. I’ll add him to the list as I almost mentioned him yesterday as being close to committing based on the Twitter tea leaves.
Another FSU related note, they picked up a commit from Juco lefty Carson Dorsey from Gulf Coast. We were looking at him as a freshman and maybe still on him. He passed up signing in the draft. His juco team is pretty loaded.
