He doesn't have much leverage at this point. Is going to likely take less money than originally asked for if he does indeed plan to sign
I certainly don't want to dampen anyone's spirits, including mine, about the possibility of him getting to campus, but regardless of where he goes, it depends on how much a team wants him, and how much they've saved with underslot deals to this point. So while there are fewer teams in play to give him a ton of money now, he still has plenty of leverage, in that a team who really wants him will have to pay up to keep him away from LSU. It really comes down to how committed he is to LSU, and whether or not he will stand his ground if someone tries to low ball him.

It appears portal target Liam Doyle committed to Ole Miss.

If a team had wanted him and at his price, he would have been drafted by now.
He has to meet teams on their terms now, which can entice him, obviously. But its getting to a point where teams wont even have the money available to match his original price tag. If he tries to leverage a team they will tell him to kick rocks

Tanner Reaves is now playing in the Tejas Collegiate Beisbol League after leaving the Cape. Still hunting more info.

I just saw that and tried to find something. Their website isn't very good with not much information.

Lester is Tre's 3.8 his slot value? Just curious!

3.88....3rd Round 88 pick overall.
His slot value at that pick is just under $784K.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Cam Johnson to get to campus!

Lester, man... I really don't want to get into it with you man. I'm trying to work on my patience. But what you're saying is not how it works. Teams deploy the strategy over underslot deals early to go overslot later, all the time. We lost Carter Young last year near the end of the draft, because he got well over a million. Just because a team didn't want to draft Johnson yet, doesn't mean they don't really want him.

I hope more Ar kansas players get picked today.

Kinda like you do want to get into it, otherwise that whole patience line was pretty unnecessary

I know right kinda surprised some of them still on the board

Realistically Johnson could be drafted anywhere in the first 10 rounds and get his number if it is the right team for him and the wrong team for us.
It is ok that he has not been picked yet but far from over.

After about halfway through the next round, it's more likely that he would need to be drafted in the 11-20 rounds to get his number.

I'm not sure what this means. It makes no sense.
