I'm wondering if I need to go back and review my draft posts for each position group. LHPs specifically.

Are we on any other Nola Catholic League guys? Honestly, I haven't been impressed but several schools have really young kids contributing already. I could see some of them as projectable.

I saw a few Juniors that I liked, too.

Looking way out, I've watched a good bit of 12U. I know I've been so weird about projecting that far, but I get it now that I've watched it more. Jude Voltz has a 12 yo son, bats left, throws right, prob 5'9-5'10 already. He doesn't completely pop, but I can see how the projections go now.

Rummel’s Soph SS Is committed to LSU. I think he’s the best prospect in the league right now

The Nix kid, a freshmen, is being recruited by LSU too. He’s been to campus & met with the coaches.

Bats left throws right. Not sure where he will settle. Looks like a 2B to me tho

He has absolutely blown up.
Likely our first pitcher off the board

I’m still curious if he “blew up” or if the publications were just way behind the scouts. Even now, MLB.com gives him a 55 grade fastball. He’s touching 97 from the left. I’d say that’s at least a 60

He is gonna reclassify to 2024. He may commit, but most out here think he won’t make it to campus. Kid touched 97 this year as a Freshman

Assuming they play seven innings like most schools, that's just insane, 20 of the 21 outs

They were. I was telling the N2Wild guy in February he was a major risk. Just based on the helium I was reading on Twitter & the videos I was seeing.

Kept telling no, that he was ranked in the 400’s!

You were certainly correct. I just find it strange that he can go from unranked to first round. That's baseball I guess.

That’s what I’m saying. He went to camps, there’s a track record of him performing in events. It’s not like he’s Ethan Frey who’s playing at a small Louisiana school with little camp exposure.

i mean he played on rosepine who has like 6 commits, not like he wasnt known and also played for Team LA so he was exposed a good bit, just wasnt until he got to like 9th-10th grade unlike some who are being scouted at 12-13.

I think that has to do with him being a legit 2 sport guy. Probably were holding off on him to make sure he wouldn't blow up in football and want to follow that dream instead of baseball. Also didn't attend as many camps as some others. I think now that he has shown he will follow the baseball path and he is dominating with mid 90s from the left side, his name is being thrown out there much more as far as rankings and mock drafts.

Eh, I can’t speak to what kind of events his team played in but Team LA isn’t what it sounds like on the surface. It’s an organization with teams all over the state.

I used him as an example because he’s playing for a small school and doesn’t have much written about him from a National level. Doesn’t even have a grade or write up on PG. having a bunch of other college commits on his team doesn’t change that. Pro scouts and national writers aren’t flocking to Rosepine

my kid plays in it, i know what it is. but the HS teams only have a couple and the one ethan was on is the legit showcase team.
