It would be nice to find a bona fide IF starter but it’s probably too late in the game for that. Nippolt looks to have a decent swing, maybe with some added strength and his on base skills he could become more than just depth.

Now that it’s slowed down a bit, I’d like to thank everyone that has brought quality information to this thread over the last couple months. This offseason has been a fun ride so far!
The recent Noot/Sampson thread on the Rant really made me appreciate what this thread turned into, “mostly” civil discussion about LSU baseball from “mostly” knowledgeable posters.

The normal things that indicate something big are happening. Following more coaches, changing parts of his twitter bio.
I've been wrong on this before (specifically with Janzen Keisel), but those are normally indicators.

like we spoke about before...if we are going after MIF...i would like to try and get DeBarge from ULL to transfer.

Same signs that Project sees. I believe the initial clue was a follow here and a follow there, but it's ramped up daily. Jay is now following him and the entire staff at his previous school. Jordan is following him. Nippolt is now following Jay and Jordan back, and now following LSU Baseball. I think at least a few of those pieces were yesterday evening or this morning.

Without any inside info, it's a lot of reading tea leaves and going on hunches.
ETA: And without access. I'm not saying I want access, but it bothers me that the people that have the access don't use it. I saw David Folse tweeting at a Baseball America writer asking about Jaden Noot. The mother fricker works for an LSU site and has interviewed Jay directly. Leverage your contacts.

I agree man. We have some crappy baseball coverage as far as the media goes. I get more info from this board than I do from the Baton Rouge media. I guess that’s why I check this damn thread nearly every hour

He's a good ball player and I don't know him personally, but everyone that I know who played at ULL absolutely loved playing there. Might be a tough pull.

yea i dont even know if it would be possible and he hasnt even hinted at trasnferring or anything like that. just know he looked awesome as a freshman this year.
