Was the Anderson injury confirmed? I never saw anything definitive.

Looks like he pitched in the playoffs so I must have been thinking of someone else.

Landing Shores, Noot, Neal, and Guidry is amazing....on top of Kling.

Adrian Siravo had TJ on June 3rd. I don't know what this means for him coming to LSU, but he definitely won't be pitching next season. If he's at LSU, he won't need to take up a countable roster spot. Not sure how this has gone unreported until now, but oh well.

Brewers just went about 600k under slot on their first rounder. Misiorowski needs to take up a lot of that.

Who was the shortstop that was committed and took the phone call to sign while he was in Paul Mainieri’s office talking about classes?

Wanna say the padres drafted him? Could be wrong though.

Point is being on campus don’t mean shite.

Haven't thought about that one in a long time

quote:

LSU seemed out of the woods. Its star outfield prospect, Maurice Hampton, told LSU he was coming to school. So did Denham Springs infielder Cade Doughty. It appeared LSU was all set with that final crucial piece: Christian Cairo.

The Florida infielder arrived in Baton Rouge on Tuesday (June 4) during the second day of the MLB Draft with his mother and father — longtime MLB infielder Miguel Cairo — and they went through the process of somebody about to play at LSU.

Paul Maineiri spoke with Cairo for an hour and a half. “We talked about the future. We talked about the experience he’s going to have here,” Mainieri said.

He took them on a tour of the new LSU weight room, and Cairo’s mother began to cry because she was sending her baby boy off to college.

Everything seemed to be falling into place.

But while Cairo was in a meeting with academic center associate director Kirstin DeFusco going over his summer class schedule, he got a phone call from the Cleveland Indians.

They were offering him a $955,000 signing bonus if they took him with the No. 130 pick, more than double the slotted $434,300 but half of what he told LSU it would take to sign him. He accepted anyway.

Cairo left the meeting, walked into Mainieri’s office and told him he was going pro. Then, he and his parents walked out and hopped on a flight back to Tampa, Florida.

He made the right choice, because if his MiLB stats are any indication of what would have happened here, he would have ended getting $0 after 4 years

Looks to be rangy and young for his class, man I bet Baylor can’t wait to not hear our name associated with one of their infielders.

Brewers signed their first round pick 650k underslot. Hopefully they target the first 2 HS kids they drafted after round 10 before going to our guys

Today Moscona said that Guidry's number was 3.2 million and that five teams called him during the draft and offered 2 million. He said no.
