I was just playing with the numbers and there might be some surprises to get to the final number.
If we get Noot, Carter and Skenes and I don't count Haddad, we are at 45. Subtract the four covid seniors and you have 41. That 41 needs to turn into 35. That is 6 guys either gone or redshirted from our current, non portal, non covid senior roster and signing class. I don't want to lose any of them, so finding 6 will not be easy. Injuries will probably choose some of them for us, so we shall see how it plays out.
As for as recruiting, I can't see us looking at anyone beyond Skenes besides covid seniors.
I would keep 20 pitchers in that 35 number. Not that we necessarily need 20 but just to hold onto them. If we have 20 pitchers, plus Guidry there isn't a big need to keep a pitcher as one of the covid seniors. That would leave us with only 15 position players, so I would go after 5 poition players with the covid senior spots. 3 are already on the roster.

Makes sense. To me there was never a reason to transfer if he thought he would sign anyway with the status of his draft stock.

We may be entering the picture for 2022 LHP Trenton Shaw from Texas. I can’t find anything saying he’s not going to Oklahoma State though.

Project, I think I’m getting away from this God awful place for quite a while. I appreciate your information. Really good work. One last tidbit for you, I’m told Skenes will be on campus this weekend. Don’t remember which day he gets here. Saturday or Sunday. Think Sunday but don’t hold me to it. He’s the only one I’ve heard of them pursuing
