Article on Misiorowski. Going to be tough to keep him following his combine performance despite reports that he has a strong commitment.

MLBPipeline.com currently ranks Misiorowski 78th overall in the draft class. On the 20-80 scouting scale, the publication gave him a 70 grade fastball, 55 slider and 45 control for an overall score of 50.
According to MLB.com, the assigned slot values for the Free Agent Compensation Picks round — which is where Misiorowski projects — range from $873,300 to $806,800.
Misiorowski is currently signed to further his college career at Louisiana State University.
“I kind of know right now what I’m doing, I’m going to LSU and I’m kind of set there,” he said last month. “If something else arises, I will look at my options, but right now, it is pretty easy. I can’t look at that stuff (draft rankings). I just have to keep my head down and keep going.”
By this time next week, things could be different. Callis firmly believes Misiorowski will be Crowder’s highest drafted player.
“With the way he pitched down the stretch, I think he goes in the top three rounds,” Callis said. “I think he could go in the second or third round. You talk about a guy who is one of the best arms in the draft. It’s a really intriguing body. You can sit there and dream because he’s still 6-7, 190.

we get Coleman back midyear
Wild we have been spoiled with lightly used pitchers delivering in late-May and June, Chad Jones for one. Coleman himself showed up big in Eugene. I'd be thrilled if he were ready to contribute in a regional, super, omaha

The MLB.com draft tracker has been updated for 2022. The only draft eligible name I didn't see in the tracker was Mic Paul. We have a lot of guys in this class that will be draft eligible sophomores. The one I just learned would be is Griffin Herring. He is two months older than Christian Little.

I know this is a little lazy on my part so if you don't already have the info just let me know and I can do the research myself. Do you have a list of draft eligible sophomores from this class? Off the top my head beside you just mentioning Griffin Herring I think it is Gavin Guidry, Jared Jones, and Paxton Kling. Any others?
Also Micah Bucknam.

I think you got them all. Herring, Kling, Guidry, Jones, and Bucknam.
ETA: Bucknam is only a DES by like 3 days despite doing grade 13.

We may see more movement on the HS side for the incoming class after the draft. I don't think we're satisfied with the infield depth yet, but I don't think the portal is going to get us what we're looking for either.

I think that will largely depend on Guidry getting to campus or not. If he gets to campus I don't think they need to add anyone this class. The depth would be fine going forward to next year and then you can see what the IF depth looks like in next years class as far as guys getting to campus and transfer opportunities after next season.

Kling tweeted out about 5 minutes ago that he's taking his name out of the draft.

If Snelling listens to his parents and goes to school (takes his name out) IMO that doesn't happen, it's definitely happy hour and pants off time!

Where is Kling ranked in Perfect Game these days? I know he's not a Top 15 Dylan Crews land but surely he's easily Top 100 probably Top 50 in his class and a big early land we dont have sweat out from this class now.

I'm not sure, but he's been falling on draft boards for a few months once signabiility became a concern.

In a typical year only about 20-25 top 100 high schoolers get to campus.
Tommy White was 18 last year and Thatcher Hurd was 36.

Wow, that is not far off Crews at all, he was 13

Kling is the real deal. I'm not kidding when I say Jay will have to find a spot in the lineup for him like he did for Pearson. He's also a Team USA kid so he can help get some of those guys to campus, too.
