Confirms what a lot of us figured by different interviews he has done. Just for good measure I'd still like to see a Kling takes his name out of the draft tweet. Plus a few other players name in the same situation would be nice.

These are his summer ball stats as of now...

PROSPECT LEAGUE - P. KLING
PA 38
8-33 0.242 AVG
0.342 OBP
3 RBI
10K/5BB 26% K rate
3 SB

Respectable for 38 plate appearances in this summer league coming straight out of high school. For those that aren't familiar, the prospect league is mostly 1st and 2nd year college guys with a few incoming high school kids mixed in. So the competition is college level competition.

I don't think anyone can truly expect anyone to be another Crews.

Kling will be more comparable to Mahtook I think.

Another 0-2 performance from both Crews and Morgan in todays 2-0 win over Cuba. Team USA only had 2 hits.

Wes Johnson is on Mahtook’s show right now. He said he’s in the Minneapolis airport, headed to recruit a signee who is likely to get drafted. I’m assuming he means Tebrake since he’s from MN.

ETA: I didn’t consider that Wes is probably still living in MN and he could be departing from Minneapolis instead of flying in. Oh well.

Wes Johnson appears to have went in home with Tebrake today on Mikd up
Said he met with a recruit in Minnesota that might get drafted and hope to convince him to become a tiger

Is Kling good enough to start over Dugas/Stevenson?

The good thing is he won't have heavy expectations in his first year when you're surrounded by all the other bats we'll have in this lineup

Notes from Hanagriff’s podcast:

-Josh Jordan very highly respected, especially for development of catchers. Jordan has hit the ground running very hard on the recruiting trail.
-Crawford and Toman will sign(no surprise)
-Snelling’s stock is dropping, probably still goes. Family wants him to go to school
-Neal’s family prefers school too, but likely will sign
-Romero’s father is apparently ill, more than likely signs
-Misorowski still possible to make it to campus. Implies it’s 50/50.
-Kling is going to be a Tiger
-Noot will sign
-Shores will sign
-Kennedy biggest 50/50 on the board
-Jones will be a Tiger
-Guidry is one he’s sweating. Won’t be comfortable until he’s actually in class.
-Frey will be a Tiger
-Moffet will be a Tiger
-Bucknam hard to get a read on. Says he’s a question mark.
-Tebrake appears to be a Tiger
-Reyzelman, says not seeing much movement up the draft boards
-Dugas same as Reyz. Great chance to come back
-Berry gone(shocker I know)
-Doughty and Gervase gone
-Big, big push from Arkansas for Skenes. Says Arkansas is biggest threat for LSU.

Nothing earth shattering, but always enjoy Charles’ insights as he is plugged into the program.

I think by SEC play Kling will work himself into RF. If not by the start of the season.

Same path as Pearson, just more upside. But it's nice to have good options.

That's who I've always been most worried about with Skenes. I'm with the poster earlier, I've just got a gut feeling that he won't end up at LSU.

To me this is the downside of having the number 1 class. We are gonna lose a lot of very good talent but if we land Snelling Kennedy guidry Mis Kling it’s a Win for me.

It’s crazy that with all the waves made in this class immediately after Johnson was hired and in the first few months after, it looks the headliners that end up making it here will be the guys who were already on board.

I still think one or two of those that people aren’t expecting will slip through though.

How connected is he? What he said about Kling was word for word with the Law blurb, he said Jones was from Cali and said Guidry was a 5th or 6th round guy. That’s around where law had him and it’s the lowest I’ve seen him.
