Frey is athletic enough to get out to RF, but I didn't think Jones would be also.

Jones was a good multi-sport athlete, too. He was no QB, but can still move around. Go check out his HUDL highlights for giggles - pancake machine when he played on the line.

And, I think that's what makes me not worried about their height as catchers. Frey and Jones are both athletic. They're not stiff like a Travinski. I know Joe Mauers don't grow on trees, but I'm not dismissing them as catchers at all.

Project, what does the Twins money look like? Just hoping they don't have a ton to spend and look to make a revenge pick or 2 to screw LSU over for stealing Wes away from them.

They're about 10-15 in bonus pool money last I checked...and drafting players over spite of a college is what gets you fired.

None of what you said is exactly ground breaking material. I could, and many have, made those same guesses by reading this board.
Yep.
Just a Wannabe Insider. The usual playbook.

I’ll try to be more creative and hopefully you’ll believe me next time bc it’s really important to me that you do.
Without looking very hard you can find the italicized phrases above - pretty much verbatim - in posts by more than one other poster.
That is unless they spot this post and then all you'll see is quite a few "deleted" messages.

Total pool over $10MM, average top ten round bonus over $1MM.

They could do some damage.

Listening to Jay interview on Mikey show now. He opened up saying that he flew in and out same day looking for the next recruiting coordinator. The airport guy said that they were flying out of Dallas together. Who could he have been visiting with?

Airports could be used as meeting places because they have direct flights from a lot of places, but they may not be indicative of anything.

I've read stories of coaches signing contracts in random airports just because that's where both parties could fly to easily and arrive around the same time.

Could literally be anywhere with that airport

Ahh..beat me to it.

I do think it's worth noting that J Bob is facing a 7 game suspension to start the season for getting run in Tx Tech's last game vs ND.

Punishment would be making him sit in the dugout for 7 February games and not out pounding the trail.

I’m surprised LSU wasn’t ran on more this year, but between that & LSUs lack of SB attempts themselves, I wonder if the stolen base is just kind of being phased out. I think it could have helped Jay win more games this year, but I understand his philosophy all together

I think it depends more on what his roster looks like. LSU didn't really have any speed in the starting lineup. That and with all of the shifting, you're seeing a lot more hit and run play.

I was surprised to see that LSU finished #2 in sac bunts, behind only Vanderbilt, so clearly there's a time and place for small ball.

Morgan (before he hurt his knee) Crews, Thompson and maybe even Doughty could’ve been base stealing threats.

Jay spoke on this fairly early in the season and basically said it’s hard for him to take risks on the basepaths when you have guys like Crews, Berry, Doughty and Jobert who can put up crooked numbers with one swing.

Can’t say I blame him.

That’s crazy & you truly do not know the players if you think that. The whole lineup could run for the most part, outside of Berry, Joubert & the C

Eh I don’t think Dugas or Pearson are going to be stealing many bags but still the point remains. There was plenty enough speed to run if Jay wanted to do so. He just didn’t think it was worth the risk

Dugas ran like a 6.5 60 in highschool. Maybe he doesn’t have the instincts to steal bags, but watch him run the bases in that regional and tell me he’s slow.
