Just from a numbers update now we have 65 players when looking at LSU roster/incoming recruits/transfers.
7 of them is in the transfer portal without an announced destination yet.
2 of them (Berry and Doughty) are gone
That puts us at 56.
Can figure you will probably lose somewhere around 9-12 more to the draft.
That gives 44-47 players.
Also seems like we are probably not done in the transfer portal, nor is more players from the roster done going into the transfer portal. This is the numbers and where we stand right now as I have it.

We are looking at a juco catcher too, but I don’t know for which year. He just finished his freshman year at NE Mississippi. Jackson Owen, NJCAA D2 gold glover.

Solid, hopefully we can get him in and work on consistency with throwing strikes. Maybe its something mechanical

Yeah I watched a piece of one of the games. Could use some mechanical refinement. Would like to see him cut those walks down
Posted on 6/25/22 at 10:53 am to josh336
I watched him last night he has good speed on the fastball just needs to locate better and cut down on the walks.

10bb in 14ip is scary

So are the other numbers. Definitely an area he needs to focus on.

Raw stuff looks like it plays.
5.2 bb/9 is not really someone you can just toss out there. They would have to quickly develop him to get him SEC ready

For sure. Long way in between now and February, I would think he’ll be working with a better PC if he comes here. Can’t teach the stuff but can definitely teach control.

Was just watching some tape of our two new guys. They’re even more impressive than what I’ve heard.
These 3 homers from Tommy White are incredible. Each of them were all upper body. That’s raw strength. Especially the second one. It was in the other box!
As for Little, that’s a legit 3 pitch mix he appears to have. Consistent 95-96 with the 4 seamer, a 12 to 6 curve that falls off of the table, and then what’s his best pitch, IMO, is that changeup. Looks like a circle change to me, but I could be wrong. 88 mph with arm side dive is just filthy. I’m assuming it was consistency that plagued him this year, so hopefully they can get that dialed in, because the stuff is without a doubt SEC weekend quality.
