Agreed. The talent level in BR is about to grow. I have no doubt JJ will get LSU back to Omaha next year. Zero.

The number one thing I wanted from a new coach was someone hungry to recruit. It's so much easier to win with superior talent. I'm loving what Johnson is bringing.

I take it we're never going to see 2022 recruit Jared Jones?

We’ve gotten guys in that competition to campus before. A lot can still happen between now and his draft.

I know he won't stay at catcher, but a 6'4" 230 lb. guy behind the plate with that kind of pop and an arm strength topping at 79 miles per hour to the bag, best workout pop time of 1.90.

I hope he does make it, but his measurables and numbers at the catcher position makes that an uphill climb. Still gonna watch him though

There are a ton of guys, specifically out west, pulling themselves out of the draft to attend college. UCLA has a particularly strong crop doing that.

Project, you think any of LSU's commitments may pull their name out Sunday?

I assume since we have 20 rounds this year after only 5 rounds last year, that there will be very few players drafted that don't sign. Much less than pre-covid seasons, right?

I don’t think we have any of those this year before the draft. There will be guys that slide much further than they should do to not having their price met.

Agreed, anyone drafted in the top 10 rounds will at least give a verbal that they’ll sign after that when the rounds go much quicker you’ll see more upperclassmen and seniors taken or guys they know will be easier signs for good value.

I have no idea what the selections of high school talent will look like rounds 10-20 this year.

Kelly is following him.

Had a 5.48 ERA but had 88ks and 31 walks in 68 innings pitched.

Staff. Kelly just started following him today.

K numbers look good. BB numbers aren’t horrible.

Has a .269 BAA. Only 14 of his 72 hits allowed went for extra bases. Kind of an odd case. You would expect better ERA and BAA with those numbers.

Project want to start an MLB draft thread on the rant? If not I’ll do it.
