I don't think this will come as a shock but just watched a youtube interview of Jensen and I don't think he is coming to LSU. The interview was sometime after Mainieri's retirement and before Johnson was hired. Of course he said he would love to come to LSU but he also seemed very open to going pro. If he gets selected where he expects, he is gone. Maybe Johnson and this NIL stuff will sway him but I would be really surprised.

I watched the same. Definitely sounded like he wouldn’t mind going to LSU but he mentioned that it would have been if he had a bad year, but he thinks he had a good year, so I’m assuming that one is done.
That YouTube interview with JJ makes it sound like they are recruiting their arse off for Selvedge, and believe he’s an immediate starter. It didn’t sound great the way he said they are having to push for him to make it.

His stock his rising by all accounts and unless he just really wants to go to college, it’s hard to think he makes it in

He's just uncommitted at the moment. There have been a couple other guys in future classes that decommitted from Arizona and Arizona State. One of them is an LHP from Nevada in the 2023 class that I would guess we're targeting pretty hard.

He's doing pretty decent in the Northwoods league last I checked. He's played 2nd base and LF in the games I watched.
He’s played in 6 games (23 PA’s) with 6 H, 3 2B, 1 SB, and 5 SO. Triple slash is .273/.304/.409. He hasn’t recorded a walk yet. Not a lot to take from that sample. I’m just bored and looking at box scores and season lines

I'm not confident he gets to campus, but if he does he's an every day bat. He's the best hitter in the LSU class.
