I was looking at some recruit's twitter accounts, and it seems like Levi Kelly is heavily considering a flip to MSU.

Note: I don't even have twitter, but I have found it an interesting way to get a read on baseball recruits, given there's not much news on them

I hope we can hold on to him. He's going to be a good one.

ETA: Twitter has been the best way for me to aggregate recruiting info to put in this thread. Perfect Game and PBR writers are really on top of all of it, but sometimes guys slip through the cracks, so knowing who to follow and where to look helps me find a lot of stuff. It's how I found the Petersen kid from the Arizona JUCO, that to my knowledge still hasn't been reported by any news outlets.

For sure. I just don't want to be misunderstood for one of those creepy fans that retweet and tweet recruits

Kelly will be a close one, because besides Andy I did not realize State hired Gary Henderson. that baw can coach pitchers

Petersen sits 91-93 fastball, has hit 94 a few times this year. Ball moves like crazy
also has a nice slider at 82-83
curve and change get mixed in

Awesome, thank you for the scouting report. Is he playing any summer ball this summer?

Many coaches wanted him to go to the Alaska summer league but he is not going to play summer ball this year

Hey Project I don't know Cabrera but I talked to some people who do and the info I got was he is not a going to class kinda guy. So what I'm thinking is if depending on where he's drafted if the signing bonus is even decent he's probably gone.

Do you have any new info on any recruits ?

I don't really have any inside info on any guys. I've heard some stuff that makes me feel good about Enlow getting to campus, but that's about it.

There was a kid out of Lafayette high school that may have transferred to one of the private schools in that area recently. I believe he was a senior this year. He was an absolute stud. From the Dominican I believe. Anybody know who I am talking about?

Sorry for the lack of info, but his name is just escaping me. He crushed us in summer leagues.

So with assuming Pap leaves for the league after this season, is it assumed that the kid from Eunice steps in behind the plate?

That's my assumption. Feduccia was a gold glove winner his freshman year at LSUE, and he absolutely crushed this year. If he makes it to campus I see him being the primary catcher with Mason Doolittle getting PT as well.

I see Slaughter sliding over to 2nd with Coomes staying at 1st.

ETA: If anyone wants to check out 3B commit Andrew Bechtold, his Chipola team will be playing at noon (central) today on NJCAA.com in the Div 1 World Series. It may also be on MLB.com. Also on his team are former Tigers Brody Wofford and Trey Dawson. They have like 3 other D1 bouncebacks and a bunch of guys committed to D1 programs. And like 5 top 100 MLB draft prospects.

After some off the field issues, he is no longer a part of LSU's recruiting class.

Agreed. He's apparently very talented. Hopefully he can get/keep it together to take advantage of the opportunities his talent will provide.

Not a surprise but...
quote:

Central Florida JC righthander Nate Pearson reached the triple digits in a bullpen session on Monday night. Hitting 100 isn’t new for Pearson, who first accomplished the feat in a bullpen last fall. On Monday, however, the hard-throwing righty cleared 100 and hit 101, with some scouts reporting that he hit 102.

Pearson is currently the No. 32 prospect in the class, and he’s projected to go in the first round, though Monday’s performance could drive him even further up draft boards.

ETA: While looking up JUCO stats, I found this guy: Tyreque Reed from Itawamba CC. He hit .511 this year with an OPS somewhere in the neighborhood of 1.600. I don't know if he's committed to anyone, but he's build like a middle linebacker and I want him as our DH.

I posted about this kid on 5/12. On 5/20 he committed to Mississippi State. YOU'RE WELCOME CANNIZARO!
