Florida isn't going to finish well.

AU is WR and DB heavy. Rankings are solely from prospect rankings and don't take roster building into consideration.

LSU at least players from every position group.

#1 TE
#1 RB
3 4* LBS
4 CBs
2 4* S + Gilber
4 DL
1 quality Edge
5 OL
1 QB + Swann
3 4* WR + Thomas from MSU

BK is building a roster.

It's interesting how their main link goes to the industry index score and not their score.

This thread is perfect if you want to see people that casually follow recruiting and spout off at the mouth to people that actually follow recruiting. Incredible.

It's hysterical watching all these people who have 0 clue about the class rankings/system abut insist they're correct

No they don’t. They are #12

You are looking at the Industry ranking page, see link below for On3's proprietary Team Rankings.

Just a Hint: #6 nationally, #4 in SEC.

This is how Les Miles constantly got top 5 classes and finished 8-4 or 9-3. A few great seasons sprinkled in, but it wasn’t consistent success.

Our fans are always like… but but “ On3 has us at 6. The other recruiting sites suck”
Every year they go with the site that has the highest ranking and say that site is the real deal

Sure, but on the other hand, you have grown men whining over class rankings like the OP but offer no honest criticism or analysis as to why LSU's class is worse than those ranked above it.

Currently, the composite industry ranking has Oregon's class as #6 in the country. Please take the time to go through their class and tell me why it is better than LSU's. I'm not even talking about these diamond-in-the-rough types people get hung up on. Look at their top 20 prospects and tell me which ones LSU signed don't stack up.

Four classes are cut above this cycle: Alabama, Ohio State, UGA, and Texas. If you want to complain about not being in that group, then OK.

This idea that LSU is getting out-recruited by Tennessee, Florida, and Auburn is silly.

I'm just dumbfounded at how I literally cannot get to that page through links on the site, only the one people posted here.

I click team rankings, it brings up the industry one with us at 12. I cannot find On3's rankings anywhere outside of the link shared here. so weird.

I agree. I’m not saying they made it easy. But it’s a good idea on the variability of services that do these rankings and a sign that the science is inexact

Absolutely. LSU fans are essentially never ever happy and always panicking.
They rob themselves of so much joy just watching the team play and develop.

It is entirely ok to be frustrated with play, or make comments when you are watching games, etc...but to just live in a 365 day state of loving or hating the moves of the program seems pointless.

People I spoke with were saying things like "If the defense can get better" before the AM game....guys, the hay was in the barn. We saw what we had by game 4 or 5. We had no answers, just watch and hope we outscore folks.

Hell, I am guilty as charged, I let the aggravation of the poor defensive play rob me of enjoying what turned out to be our best win of the season at Mizzou.

On3 is the original dude who started 247 and sold. He has been doing this a long time. Try to keep up.

But teams dont win championships without top ten classes. Probably top five going forward.

Rankings overall do have meaning.

They definitely do that on purpose. When you click on a team page, such as LSU, they show the index ranking of 12 there as well. Idk why the hell they hide the on3 specific ranking.

He also founded rivals, I am well aware. But we are picking who we like best.

plus, if you look at the scores, it's not that different:

#6 On3: 91.588
#12 Industry Comps: 91.707

who cares what the ranking is, it's clear that this is a very good class. even at #12, this class is barely over 1 point separated from ohio state at #4

Less and less every year. Look at Ole Miss, they are going to be SEC favorites by some sites next year and they havent been in the top 20s...

Now, our use of the portal, that is another story in my opinion.
