We have some of these imposters posting as Tiger fans. Don’t let them get to you. It’s just a childish ploy.

I agree, but it has gotten pretty bad.

But teams dont win championships without top ten classes. Probably top five going forward.

Rankings overall do have meaning.

That remains to be seen in the transfer portal era. Bama is the outlier in this year's group and they shouldn't even be in the mf'er.

Average recruiting class ranking over the last 4 cycles:
Michigan - 13
Washington - 40
Texas - 8
Florida State - 21

It’s amazing how these recruiting services can still look at Durham and Green and continue to think that they shouldn’t be 5 stars lolol

What a bunch of blind bias bullshite. This is why I don’t take recruiting services seriously at all.

Honestly, some of you just take these calculations as gospel without any consideration of the specifics or the wild variations depending on the source. On3 thinks LSU has the 6th best class overall which is more than enough to compete. The industry composite average may have LSU just outside the Top 10 and in 7th in the new SEC, but what are the actual differences in the strengths of those classes? Florida, Oklahoma, and Auburn have 1 or 2 5-stars LSU does not currently have in their class but LSU has 17 4-stars or above to only 16 for Oklahoma and only 12 for Florida and Auburn. I know all 4-stars are not created equal, but is 2 more 5-stars really better than 7 more 4-stars? I don’t think there’s any reason to panic over arbitrary formulas when LSU has as many 4-star and above recruits as anyone except Georgia (21) and Texas (one more at 18). And that’s not even getting into the value in the number of recruits even when it comes to the 3-stars when at least some % of them are likely to be diamonds in the rough.

Guess which two teams will most likely end up in the championship game? Only one of those.

Our fans are always like… but but “ On3 has us at 6. The other recruiting sites suck”
Every year they go with the site that has the highest ranking and say that site is the real deal
Only retards and people who want to be mad think like you.

0n3 has the most scouts.

0n3 has taken most of the best people from 247.

At best 247 is the ONLY other recruiting site you should pay attention too.

Focusing on anything in the composite which lists Rivals and ESPN, is a fool's errand. I bet you couldn't name one scout from either of those 2 services without looking it up.

Florida isn't going to finish well.

AU is WR and DB heavy. Rankings are solely from prospect rankings and don't take roster building into consideration.
Thank you. this is why i love BK. He is building a ROSTER, not a position. Four of Auburn's top 10 players are WR. However they do desperately need WRs so i see the point in that. They also got their QB which is great. The glaring problem I see is that they have one offensive line recruit and that is a JUCO tackle.

why don't you look at Clemson's rankings before both of their championships?

Bama and UGA aren't winning based only on recruits, if they were Ohio St would have won since 2014. You have to have the staff and recruits and luck. Bama was extremely lucky this year to even make it. Washington beat every opponent, multiple ranked opponents.

I really hope Bama gets smacked down because they didn't deserve this playoff spot.

No they don’t. They are #12

For the fricking 1,000,000th time for the casuals like yourself, that is the INDUSTRY RANKING. That takes On3, 247, Rivals and ESPN’s rankings into account. The problem is the last two are shite and lower than shite and not worth accounting for anymore.

Here is the link to On3’s rankings without the other services: LINK

Look at this and 247’s ranking and average those if you want a valid combined evaluation. I think that puts us at 8th nationally when averaged together, which is fair and probably accurate for this class.

It's interesting how their main link goes to the industry index score and not their score.

They really tout the industry ranking and 247 also defaults to the composite now. I wouldn’t have a problem with it if they would both at least drop ESPN. They really don’t give a frick and their rankings are not reliable. On3’s industry rankings only give them 5-10% weight, but they don’t even deserve that. And Rivals isn’t much better at this point. They exist on their past rep alone. Neither have the networks of evaluators to keep up today.

If you want a balance, take On3 and 247’s rankings and average those. Those are the legitimate services today.

It does seem to have increased which makes me think it is an intentional effort to undermine our program. Is so, that means someone is very nervous about facing us.
