I'm not even mad about the fact he is keeping his recruitment open, but the way he said it, "I'm better than what yall think." Just feels like a shot at lsu. If he's upset about his nil and this is how he chooses to express it i am not too worried about landing him.

With the transfer portal evolving the way it is, HS kids are going to lose the leverage they think they have. They'll still get paid well, but teams are going to value proven college players over gambling on potential.

New recruiting strategy, pick up all you can from the high school ranks, spend money in the transfer portal. At least in the transfer portal, you know what you’re getting. These high school kids, especially on the deference of an offensive line can be misses.

I still believe the institutions have the leverage here. CFB isn’t the revenue generating sport without the universities and the people who attended or support said universities. The problem lies with the institutions, as a whole, sticking together. You take the LSU, tOSU, Bama out of it and you lose the fan base. Doubt me, then make a minor league for the NFL and see what happens.

The transfer portal experiment is going to put a lot of pressure on high school payouts. If you can get readymade assets that get you wins, the value of speculative HS potential will drop.

Better than an offer from your I state school that happens to be a top 10 program.

You are better than that? Naw I doubt it. You want money.

Cap the high school recruiting NIL to 250k. And have open check books for transfers.

What he really means is “I’m still up for auction to the highest bidder”

With rev share, doesn't that curb some of the wild west free for all? I know there will still be collectives out there, but my understanding was that these collective deals will be under major scrutiny.

Have we learned nothing?

Of course its still open. Early committments mean less than nothing.

Even if he commits and plays for LSU (or another school) in 2026, he's a FA after that season.

Apparently you haven’t been paying attention. Ole Miss only cares about the transfer portal. Lane hasn’t given two shites about high school recruits for the last two years.

the NCAA would have to increase enforcement by 20 times to even think about curtailing this shite. It’s a free for all, rev share may increase parity a little but the schools with money will make impacts every year
