The question of loyalty and state pride has come up a lot since C. Robinson has verbally committed to Alabama. What about the coaching staff’s lack of loyalty to in state prospects that are die hard LSU fans and have enough talent to play SEC football but do not get an offer from LSU because the staff has an out of state guy that they like more. Last year, LSU passed up on Noel Ellis from Karr who was an All- American and this year on Sims. Also, what is wrong with getting a quality recruit in the program to help you ensure the future commitments from more highly prized recruits? If offering a scholarship to a very talented DB in Ellis would help with Speedy and Willis, why not offer? If offering a scholarship to a very talented WR in Sims would help with C. Robinson, why not offer?

Wait Noel Ellis was an all American? When the frick did that happen?

Getting one db last years prevents us from getting an Ed Paris, a tony brown, a devin voorhies, or a hootie jones. I'll take those 4 over a small db any day. An please do not refer to TM7 with Ellis, they are completely different players.

I thought he was in the Under Armour game. If I recall correctly he was the return man also.

I don't like the fact the kids go on TV and rub our nose in it . I can't ever remember the time a number 1 prospect from Alabama went on ESPN and committed to LSU . I also wouldn't expect it .

I understand what you are saying, I also prefer Paris, Brown, and Jones over Ellis but I am stating that loyalty and state pride should be a two way street.

When are you people on here gonna learn...Sims was invited to numerous camps at LSU he snubbed them all...do you expect Miles' staff to offer someone who can not attend a camp...did Sims think he was too good to attend or too scared of the competition? No college coach is gonna offer a kid if he continuously snubs the school which is what Sims did

I do not understand why people think Ellis and his bat shite crazy uncle will pull these kids to A&M, but guys like current LSU commit and Karr playerDonnie Alexander or current LSU player and Karr Alum Derek Endiburough will have no impact. Not to mention the long standing relationship Noil has with LSU recruiting coordinator Frank Wilson.

Sims was by all reports terrible at LSU's camp last summer and did not seem interested in coming to any of the events this year. There was no guarantee that offering him would have swayed Robinson or that Sims would have committed.

We will see how much playing time Sims gets in next couple years....I'm looking for him to transfer to Southern in next year or two...he was being promised playing time his freshman year...

Don't like being held hostage. You say that LSU should have offered Sims because he is a fan. Supposedly so was CRob and he sold LSU out. Can't have it both ways.

Ok, I see what you are saying about the current Karr players committed to or on the squad but I doubt that A&M would be as much of a factor if Ellis was not there right now.
