Definitely have a chance with this kid. Les and the boys just have to close the deal.

Lorenzo's personality screams leader. Would love to have this kid to come and be another great DL to represent LSU in the NFL. I think we're in good shape and we will be in even better shape after Coach Miles makes an in-home. Carter is obviously a smart kid, hopefully he will be a Tiger!!!

I thought the same thing after hearing his interview. Where ever he ends up, he will be a major asset to that team. Hopefully it's in Baton Rouge.

Definitely a positive, happy guy who wants to elevate and motivate the team with his own efforts: a real leader. This comes across in all his interviews. He was understandably tired from the hectic pace he is keeping up over the last few weeks, taking visits, playing in the UAAAG game, playing basketball, and school. I think he had 3 coaches at his basketball game Tuesday plus this interview.

Mike the Tiger certainly did his part to recognize Lorenzo belongs here! I wish a photographer had captured that for a T-shirt. I thought that it was great that Carter said seeing Mike was the highlight of his trip. That could be a first for any recruit and a definite hint that he and his family were absorbing the school and its traditions. Send them some unique Tiger shirts & sweats!

He gave us only 8.5 because "he doesn't believe in giving 10's because nobody's perfect". (Zeros for Meyer & Saban) Three times in videos he has said LSU's history of putting DL/DEs in the NFL and the coaches are what make LSU a top contender.

He likes Miles (he's contagious and fun: has also said Miles is most down to earth coach and keeps it real). Lorenzo has said immediate playing time and whoever wants him the most are factors. UGA and FLA are not missing a beat there.

Miles encouraging him not to be afraid to go out of state was important. He is getting pressure, like LF7, from all sides to stay home and represent his state (plus girlfriend and Mom). Georgia currently has only 2 of the top ten staying home and if Carter leaves then it will be only 4 of the top 20.

I liked his bottom line that it is a wide open contest right now with all the changes going on. Pruitt to UGA gave them a boost.

Miles could seal the deal with today's in-home visit because Carter's choice will definitely be a family decision.

_______

Checklist: education, winning tradition, DE's in NFL, immediate playing time, stability in a head coach, solid relationship with a position coach....vs staying home

I thought it was a real minus that his family drove him rather than flying. That would have been tiring and could have been a factor in their visit. It must have been their choice and not us dropping the ball. His dad did the driving back home while Lorenzo slept. OVs are supposed to be a first class curb to curb experience.

8.5 doesn't sound to promising to me. I know I know he has always been a long shot. Just seems on like we will fall a little short on getting him. Hope and pray that I am wrong because I have been saying all along this kid would make this class something historic! He is that good.

"8.5 because he doesn't give 10's because nobody's perfect" Bama and Ohio State got zeros!! Did you listen to the interview and the others he has done?

I think LSU genuinely made up ground. That is a good thing.

I agree. It seems LSU made up a lot of ground. I was expecting the same attitude as the last video I saw. This one seemed much more pro LSU than that one. Les is contagious! I think we have a real shot. He felt Coach Miles telling him don't be afraid to come on down to Louisiana was a good thing.

LC does seem to come off to me as having those leadership intangibles when you watch him talk and see how he carries himself. He is not shy, but not a me-first person either.

Man, this guy will be a real asset to whatever team he chooses. (LSU!)
