I think it is going to come down to Manning or Holstein for the QB in the 2023 class. Still to early to call it with plenty more football to play before that decision has to be made. Wouldn't be surprised though to see Holstein beat him out.

I'd honestly like LSU to not waste a minute towards recruiting the manning family.
This.

We haven't gotten any of the other Manning's and we seem to be doing alright. How many National Championships did Peyton and Eli win?

It’s funny to think about but I still think Duke will be a dark horse in this race for several reasons
1) Duke’s head coach is David Cutcliffe who coached all 3 of the Manning boys so Archie obviously trusts him a lot.
2) He’s a Day 1 starter the second he steps on campus
3) They recently put Daniel Jones into the NFL as a top 10 pick which UGA, UT, and OM have not done
4) Phenomenal academics after his playing career is over with

Explained that he’s already visited Ole Miss & LSU before, but does it matter “He ain’t coming here to play” my quote, quoted over a 100 times before and downvoted even more, #101 “He ain’t coming here to play”

We're not getting Arch so there is no point in wasting your time.

Dude, he's probably kinda intimidated by all of the depth and studs we have in and committed for the future in our qb room. I don't care who you are, if u have nussmier, Howard, and Johnson to compete with on the same team for the same spot...that's fricking intimidating. He isn't coming here. I never thought he would anyway. His family would damn near disown his arse if he came to lsu. He knows we are stocked with elite talent at the position for the next four years at least. That's going to deter him and would deter anyone who would have to compete against that gauntlet for playing time.

Cooper is an Oil and Gas broker. Oil runs through Texas hence the Texas visits. Opens doors for the family business
Texas is a historic program and Sark has done well with qbs. Texas will work their recruiting at qb around him. I think Texas has a great shot.
Then maybe Clemson. Dabo has done well with abs too.

LSU or OM are his likely destination
I agree. He's going to play in the SEC. It is the league that will most prepare him for the NFL... plus his family's roots are SEC.
It will most likely be Ole Miss or LSU, followed by Alabama and Georgia.

Who really cares??
Manning’s play games when LSU is recruiting one of their offsprings, Archie Sr will not decide favorably for LSU, ever!!!

quote:Lucky for us is that Archie Sr is not the one making the decision. But like has already been said, he is going to want to go somewhere where he can almost be guaranteed to start at least by his sophomore year, if not his freshman year. With the way our QB room is stacked, and with the good chance we get Holstein, I just don't see a player like Manning coming here.

His dad said he has been here already. Ole Miss too. For whatever that is worth which is probably nothing.

I hate to tell you but Ole Miss and LSU are not much of a factor for him right now and it'll probably stay that way.

The fact that Ole Miss isn’t on this list tells you everything you need to know.
The Manning’s are not fans of lane kiffin. There is no way like zero chance that Arch plays for Kiffin.
Goes back to Tennessee days with Payton
Watch for where Dave Cutcliff goes. Rumors are that Saban is trying to hire him as advisor or even coach at bama and that will seal the deal for Arch. The Manning’s absolutely love him but there’s not much chance that arch will be going to Duke.

It all goes back to the 61-17 drubbing and the oranges hit the field. I was there!

The Manning’s poo poo on LSU all the time. Screw them and tell them to get the hell out of New Orleans

Joe Burrow changed forever the perception that LSU can't get and develop a big time QB. Now Johnson, Walker, maybe Nussmier and even Brennan will solidify that change. If Arc wants to come here fine with me but it doesn't matter anymore. I like Holstein better anyway.
Arc who?
Arc who?
