Looking at the other teams number of commitments tells me...

...all I need to know about this class. Most of the top classes have only a couple of spots left, yet LSU has half of its class left. My gut tells me that many of the instate guys are silent commitments and are just waiting for the All-Star games to make it public. Does that mean that LSU will get everyone? No, but I bet most are already in the fold.

Means nothing. The remaining guys could go anywhere, and they'd make room. Still, LSU recruits well...

I will say this: If we don't get these guys, we are so messed up. It would be quite the troll job by an entire class of recruits, basically. Epic really.

Could you imagine the meltdown if all 6-7 of them pulled a Landon Collins or a Janzen Jackson on signing day and after telling coaches they were coming here, all went to Alabama?

This site would shut down.

No matter what, though, we don't need to count chickens and whatnot.

A lot of these kids dont get a chance to go see other places especially when football takes up most their time. some would be recruited hatd no matter if they were comitted or not, but some woukd have schools cool on them if they came out and said im all LSU.

Risk you take when you have so many high profile guys on the radar. Odds are LSU will get a few.
I doubt most of the elite are "secret commits" anywhere yet.

Honestly I think it's a blessing and a curse to have so much talent in Louisiana this year. It's a rare year for us and believe it or not most kid's would not pass up the opportunity to commit to the college of their choice on live television in front Thousands of people, come on now we all know this will give these athletes major props to do it on t.v. in front of their peers and team mates, so that's why our top kids isn't committed yet but in my opinion LSU will come out on top this year, and have the top recruiting class this year. So unfortunately we have to be patient because of the hype of being on t.v.

I hope we get'em all. But I "feel" that a couple haven't announced simply because they ARE jumping ship and don't want to deal with the LSU fans any sooner than they have to.

Ever heard the story of the young bull and the old bull? (Adapted for recruiting)

Young bull says "lets run down the hill and get us a 5 star recruit". Les says "lets wait til the All-Star games and get em all".
