So stop with the bullshite that these guys are leaving. They are only leaving if they are shortsighted or they forget that there are probably 60 or so draft eligible interior LBs.
I think this is true. It’s super critical for RBs to go as soon as possible because of their short shelf life. Getting to the second contract is more important for them than where you get drafted, as long as you know you will.
LBs will usually have a longer career if they are good, so maximizing earnings on the first contract is more important. That means coming back if you can improve by a round or more. Both Stevens and Queen can if they improve their weaknesses to go along with their considerable athleticism.

Is Tyler Taylor gone for good?

Phillips might leave but I don’t see Queen leaving

Queen is a better pro prospect than Phillips

I saw both in a top 100 list just this week
an area for improvement is our players pre-NFL Draft ratings
we've had too many jr leave early only to not get drafted, at all.

If Stevens comes back and gets better in coverage as a Safety, then he could go higher. That’s what’s holding him back.

Phillips film is way better
I also see Phillips leaving before queen but I could see both staying
Jacob Phillips likes hunting and shite
Unless he is a top 2 round pick he isn't coming out

Winning the Natty will have a BIG impact on whether some of these tweeners come back or not, Shelvin with a big night and win could go, Phillips with a big win and top tackler on a 15-0 team could go, I do believe Queen will stay will be leader of the LB crew next year regardless.

I like Phillips just fine, but no
If you think Phillips has close to the range as Queen you’re nuts. He is on path for a Debo Jones-like ascension. Simply put on the tape, esp both Bama games the last two years.

Are you still holding on to your take earlier this season that this season’s linebacking group was the best in school history?
I was surprised by that opinion just wondering what you think at seasons end?

Well Divinity has missed 9 games now, but KLC, Queen, Phillips & Stevens have all been great

Queen is a fantastic athlete. He's made some jaw-dropping plays this season, and he's also been out of position, causing us to give up explosive plays to the opposition. I see a more direct comparison to Devin White as a Soph vs. Devin White as a junior to Patrick Queen. As a soph, White made some great plays, but also made some bad reads. As a jr, White was almost unstoppable, and his reads were much improved. if we get that from Queen next fall, look out!

I agree very much with that. I do think he goes pro tho but that’s just me. His best football is ahead of him

Idk we got some good ones coming in as freshman. That white and Webb will probably push for playing time. Brooks already looks good as well as clark. Queen would really hold the whole defense together in the center if he came back IMO.

Did i say he has the range as Phillips, no.
I said he has the better tape this year
I think queen is a good linebacker also but he has been out of position alot more

So wait you agree he has been out of position and his best football is ahead but are arguing he has better film than Phillips this year? Lol
Damn man do you get tired of always swinging for the fences and then missing wildly

It’s like the argument in baseball
The more range you have the more chances you have to make an error.
Phillips is safe & good at what he does; work down hill inside the box
But Queen is sideline to sideline, can thump between the tackles & fill holes, & is really good in coverage for an LB.

And is usually directly responsible for most of the big plays against this defense.
