I'm with you. I've been reading the Liggins hype all day from work and finally got home and had a chance to see his highlight video. He's marginally impressive.

I see him as a flyer and someone to take a chance on, but one thing I can say for certain- he will never play QB at LSU. His arm is not particularly strong, he doesn't possess any out of the ordinary vision from the pocket and on most all his completions, his WRs are wide the frick open.

Also, compared to how massive he is in comparison to those trying to tackle him, he goes down too easily. He should have a 10 minute video of him trucking people and flattening them, as he's coming with a full head of steam and outweighs those DBs by 100+ pounds. Finally, he's just not that fast.

I think he is what the recruitment services say he is- a 3 star unpolished athlete that needs lots of work, speed training and a closely monitored diet. If things work out, he could be a contributor/starter at LSU.

i like this kid a lot

i think when Sept comes he'll be trimmed up. Will prob RS, but i could see using him in shotgun, short yardage situations. Like Tebow was used as a FR. Like ALA used Ingram and Richardson. Blake Bell. Though its prob just wishful thinking, even formations like that are too fancy for LSU

Lol, wow this dude moves good as hell for his size. I bet he was a pain in the arse to play/gameplan against...probably why he has won back to back state titles.

Liggins is raw but I can see the potential for him to be a stud at QB for LSU.

He's got a burst for big man. Looks like Marcus Spears slinging the ball. Nice pick up. Looking forward to see him Moffitized and with some time under Krag.

Man among boys in that video. Did he play in a higher division?

Tight end written all over him if QB doesn't work out.

No played 4A at Lafayette. His team was stacked and hasn't lost a game in three years. Ran through the competition.

I don't mean to be a negatiger, I just don't think he's a QB. Like I said, his highlight reel is mostly him running and making the occasional throw to a wide open WR. He's fast for a big man, but he's not fast enough to outrun anyone in the SEC.

Maybe I just read to much hype on him all day at work before I was finally able to see his video from home. I expected more.

People were just excited for a little good news, as he is definitely a project.

Whether he plays a single snap as a QB will depend entirely on his intangibles.

He has the tools for Krag to work with, I don't get why some are saying he doesn't have a strong arm. It looks rough now, but he still has a quick release and the ball is movin with some speed.

If he learns to point that arm at the right receiver when two are covered, sky's the limit.

no bashing here by any means, but he looks like an athletic DE running over smallish competition. what i like is his arm strength, size (would like him a bit leaner maybe), and his leadership.

he seems like a QB who would stand in the pocket and take a big hit for his team.

I'm the total opposite... That and his mechanics are pretty par. His slants didn't seem to have much zip on them, but they were damn spot on. I was surprised at how accurate he was (yes the WRs did make some plays, but there were some great throws).

I personally don't see him playing QB here. He is an elite athlete with a great burst of speed and quickness. DT or DE would suit him perfectly
