Just got back from the dome. The first game, I was unimpressed with Ronald Martin. Didn't look shifty or fast.
Terrance Magee on the other hand is the real deal. He's built like Trent Richardson. I agree with Dandy Don's comparison to Kevin Faulk. He's got great vision, runs tough inside, and is fast. He's also got a surprisingly live arm. More accurate than Jordan Jefferson from what I saw tonight.
Karr has a junior OT Derek Edinburgh who is 6'8" 320#. Moved pretty well, but wasn't terribly aggressive. I'm curious to see if he becomes a big time recruit with that kind of size.

that's awesome. I we can get Hill back to go with him and Hilliard. Those three remind me of these three guys who had a pretty good year this year:

I know Martin has been have some ankle problems he has been fighting through... also he was absolutely gassed.. he played his arse off the entire game and rarely was on the sidelines

Magee really played a decent game. Was tough to tackle.

But in a smaller note, I noticed a Edna Karr's left tackle, think his name was Ralph Cadet. Dude wasn't beat once and was manhandling his assignment everytime. Pretty sure the program listed him at 6'4" 300lbs and he's just a junior.

He's someone I'll be keepin' my eye on going into next season.

Cadet is listed at 5'11" 230#'s. You may be thinking of another player.
#76 might be the kid your thinking of, Darryl Dunn, he has the height and weight you are listing.

Although I was a tad upset about Martin, you have to put it in perspective. He's playing QB in a run oriented offense. On defense I thought he had great closing speed and came in and lowered the boom a few times. The dude played all but like 5 snaps, and sure he took plays off sometimes. Also, LSU is taking this guy cuz he has a lot of talent and upside, we don't expect him to play anytime soon.

This is true. He played well tonight.

All 5 games were very good with some kids with talent.

What didn't impress me tonight was DT for West Monroe #98 Chucky Hunter. He looked slow and out of shape for a big time recruit.

Tyree Brakens is the real deal, the RB for White Castle.

At times he made plays, may have took a few snaps off. The two DL Jrs. did look good at times. #'s 90 and 91. Also #38 Jacob Tyson, he too is a Jr.

It looked to me he took alot of plays off. Some of the plays he made, he fell down and grabbed ankles and made plays by clogging up space.

The other parts of that DL were solid.

He had double digit tackles and 1-2 sacks.

So he can hit the broad side of a barn from the inside.

Deep Purple-Sorry you weren't impressed with Ronald yesterday in the dome, maybe you didn't realize that Ronald has been playing with a high ankle sprain for the better part of 5 weeks now. But we as a family and White Castle as a community will celebrate the victory with a parade today at 3pm.

Congrats team...yall deserve it...good stuff.

And Purple...you are right about Magee; the man throws well when he is under pressure. Of course...the speed of the SEC will ramp up his decision making process. I watched JJ win a championship in the Dome...and he looked unstoppable.

Bracken...I'll just bet they are going to let that guy go because of his size. Would be a mistake that would come back to haunt us, IMO. Already, he is professing hurt feelings, that he is getting no attention; so whoever steps up with interest in him, will have an edge.

Also...how on God's Green Earth does a 5'11" ONE HUNDRED FIFTY FIVE POUND QB throw accurate lasers and kick a ball the way that Tollete George does. And he can run. I can remember another kid from down there - South Plaq I think, transferred up north after the storm - that was much in this mold. Don't know what happened to him? Guess they just might be too small, for the next step up ...but that was damn sure one of the best games ever played in the Dome, as far as talent and execution.

Great day...I hope the Cotton is as much fun.

Micah Eugene looked great on both sides of the ball for Acadiana.

I actually thought he played really well vs. a very good Acadiana running attack

his name was called several times for making tackles resulting in little or no gain

Randal Mackey maybe? I think he's at Ole Miss. And you are right about the George kid. He wowed me several times last night. As a proud Franklinton alum I'd have to agree with you as last night I think I watched one of the greatest highschool games ever played in our state. Looking around the dome there wasn't a single butt in a seat late in the fourth and in OT. Hats off to Edna Karr but damn it feels good to be a Demon today.
