RIVALS has him at 6 3" 255, two stars. Maybe he can play FB.

his kid is going to be special. Look at that intensity and fire. Aranda just got us a big piece to the defense. He's quick and strong like Beckwith possibly even stronger. He repped 225 28xs. Look how violent he his with his hands to disengage from blockers and of course form tackling lowering the boom. This guy is highly underrated. Congrats Layton Geaux Tigers
I'm afraid I don't understand. Apparently this kid is the real deal. Why isn't he getting a scholarship? Not being disrespectful at all. Just curious.

Bradie James ran a 4.7 at the scouting combine, but his instinct were not that great in the NFL.
Dude, you're calling out a guy who played 10 seasons in the NFL? I'd say that getting paid millions upon millions for a decade means that his instincts were at least decent.

Can be on the football team and on a tops scholarship and not count towards the 85 player limit but if he gets into a game for even one play then he would count towards the 85 scholarship limit.

yea it does big reason we can get a lot of big time out of state players bc most instate players have basically full rides with tops so we have more scholraships to give to those out of state guys

Remind you of Brian West a little bit?

Closer to Ledoux than West

He's extremely athletic. I talked to a man today up here that has seen Layton stand flat-footed in the shallow end of a regular swimming pool and jump out of the pool.

Looks more like a DL man vs LBer to me. Where does Aranda project him????
It is my understanding that he was a LBer in 10th and 11th grade, hurt his ankle bad so missed the entire 11th year. WM needed him at DE so he bulked up to play there his senior year, but is considered and was recruited as a LBer. No link, but pull up some of his 10th grade highlights as a backer. The dude is legit.

It should occur to everyone that this may be a future fullback

How is Garnett a "preferred Walk-on"?? But Lloyd Cushenberry (Dutchtown) #74th ranked player in state on a Full Scholarship?
