If this dude wants to go to A&M let him. LSU will be just fine without em. Kid clearly has doubt about coming here so I'd move on and get someone who wants to be here.

What do they always say? Focus on who you're getting, not who you lost.

LSU is building a top 5 program with sustainability. Lamar who?

They are kids...they dont "love" any college yet. So just like you in the job market, you would absolutely go where they are paying substantially more, without a drop-off in facility and living.

Be real

What dumbass wants to go play for Texas A&M?

I think probably coming from Baton Rouge, they are impressed by the new, shiny buildings and money at A&M. Then you spend some time there and realize that Bryan/College Station totally sucks and the people are weirder than hell (not in a good way)
I've been on their campus a few times to visit friends there and it was corny, lame and boring.

On a serious note, I will literally never understand a highly rated recruit choosing Texas 8&4.

Sure, they have bags to throw around but so do other programs that are actually somewhat successful.

A recruit who actually factors anything other than money into the equation is not choosing that shite arse program.
Dude can not care about his future in the NFL that much. Also, if he wants to see something new, College Station over all the other places? I can understand the money, but he's a top 5 recruit on OL or DL, EVERYBODY will pay him substantially.

Dylan Moses part 2, except at a worse school.

The people in this board are why kids leave. Love them until they commit elsewhere and then shite all over them. Also BK has gotten clowned one time too many. If there is no natty this year expect a change in regime. Also I think the kids sense this. Elko is still in the honeymoon phase so it’s about continuity at some point.

Mason Smith is a major douchebag btw.

Is that the same Mason that used to help with Bootleggers? He always seemed like a good dude to me. Didn't he go to LSU?

There’s nothing about this kid that tells me he’s one to shut things down. He’s always been open to all bidders and that won’t change. We’ll see what happens in the final bids.

These kids are obsessed with being the villain.

Meh, I loved my team, yes. But a young man is exposed so much more to other teams and traditions...and multiple visits, etc. He might absolutely love LSU, but that doesn't mean he'll pass on a couple million to be here...that would be stupid as frick

Same Mason Smith - LSU grad from Alexandria. I think he was let go when BK brought back Austin Thomas.

Seems like a lot of you who jump to conclusions and react before letting things play out may need to go back and delete your comments.
