They did just hire Tom Herman and had a young team last year. I don't know if I'd discount their program that much.

Would they even let a football player major in petroleum engineering? That would be brutally difficult to balance.

Hope that means something. Sick of recruits playing games. Wish they would just say I like both schools etc and leave it at that.

Doesn't look like things are leaning us. Don't think he's a UT lock; I'd say the "smoke" indicates UT lean however.

Do have a feeling this is a truly conflicted (about his school decision) young man. So he could end up being one of those players we hear about waking up on decision day, and putting finality to it then and there. Don't think he's trolling either fanbase, just unsure himself right now.

Visits are done, it's all family and mental gymnastics from here.

Who accomplished the same exact thing Charlie Strong did. They both finished in sixth place in their respective conferences this year. Not sure about UT's talent but Herman had the most talented team in the AAC.

Herman is rebuilding. It's still Texas.

His potential earnings are much higher in the NFL than petroleum engineering. He needs to think about that hard and who prepares him better for the NFL.

It's insignificant, but I'm wondering if anyone had the same thought that I did regarding the 8.9 grade. It seemed quite critical on the face of it (not overly critical). I don't mean critical in the negative connotation; I mean 'heavily critiqued'. To give a decimal point number isn't odd to me; it's an indicator he had a detailed review, in his mind at least.

I was just about to ask who that was. And I like to think I follow college football rather well.

Bowser is a DE for U of H. The only reason I know the name is because he went to high school in my hometown of Tyler.

K'lavon is gone and just drumming up drama. Don't get your hopes up. We have a better shot with Bryant than Chaisson. If we have a signing day surprise it will be him.

I don't know. He doesn't have the build to be the next Bowser if you ask me.

With all due respect to both schools, it really is a win/win for the kid.. good for him. It's gotta be a tough decision
