Books made a few strange comments this recruiting season.
But all in all he is in the top 5% as far as recruiting gurus go on this site.

He may play at Bama, but will mostly just be blocking. With Bama's QB situation I see them throwing less this year then last. And when they do it won't be to Bell.

if you are just talking about his freshman year, then maybe.

but because of their lack of depth outside of Jones and Maze, he's probably going to be a good/top reciever for them in a few years.

Yeah I know. The guy was strangely similar to Bell in that video. Similar size and everything. But he looked to be playing a bunch of tenn scrub high school teams though.

If Bell grayshirts I think it's safe to say that Bama didn't exactly make any friends or help themselves in the Rayville area. Burned that bridge.

if he signs with LSU right now we are talking about him being the sleeper of the class. but bc he signs with bama he's going to suck and ride the pine for 4 years.

Justin Maclin- LB- Ridgeway
Justin MaclinPosition:LB
Height: 6-foot-4
Weight: 215 Pounds
Holds offers from Florida, Tennessee, LSU and Memphis. Excellent speed at his size. Could be the most highly recruited player in the state when its all said and done. Maclin's strengths on the football field are his speed, length, and versatility. Could be a classic Sam linebacker in a 4-3 scheme, but can also double as an edge rusher in a 3-4 alignment.

I don't think most of the posters who post here regularly are as biased as you think. Most here were saying these things about him when he commited to LSU. I don't know of anyone who was calling him the sleeper of the class.
