2022 Shreveport (La.) Captain Shreve athlete Kendrick Law is coming off a monster performance in track and field, but continued that at the Pylon 7-on-7 National Championship in front of 247Sports. That added context bolstered his move up in the updated Top247 rankings released by 247Sports on Wednesday.

"Kendrick Law was going to move up on track data alone after what he did in the spring," national recruiting analyst Gabe Brooks said of the now Top 100 prospect. "But when combined with what he did at the Pylon 7on7 National Championships, where he flashed numerous times on both sides of the ball for the Louisiana Bootleggers, Law deserved top 50 consideration, which he got. There was discussion about Law moving ahead of Jacoby Mathews, who I would like to see move down to a linebacker projection.

"Regardless, LSU could be getting two bona fide elite back-seven defenders who will probably be able to stay on the field in myriad personnel groupings and down-and-distance situations."

I am not one for conspiracy theories, but since Ala. got more involved. Law has jumped in the rankings to a position just outside the 5 star range.
If he was to commit to Saban, he would get his fifth star.
To a lot of kids, that would be all the incentive needed to make a commitment. That fifth star means a lot.
I think K Law is smarter and more mature than that, an dnot likely to fall for it, but these facts are aligning in a way that sure supports the popular myth.

I got my knuckles racked hard for saying what I did about how Moss had flipped to us. Like honestly first time my guy has gotten a lil pissy at me. We all kissed and made up. I was told I can say this though, we are no worse than 80/20 on ALL top 15 kids that Ed wants in State. We all know the drill though Saban heavily involved in 4 La. guys. Play close attention to Abor, Stewart, Perkins, and Harris, in that order from Texas what they do when open recruiting starts again. Most are going to Aggie BBQ I think on 31 or Aug 1st. Anyhow if none of those guys commit, which LSU thinks none will. We could be looking at really special class. I know people interested on Murphy, he has not told LSU nay/yay. Don’t think any school really knows, but LSU still confident. That’s honestly all I know.

I just wanna say great job recently. However don't get in trouble and lose your source, tell us what you can if anything, I'd rather know what I can know than know what I'm not supposed to know.

Depends what Iota means on all of those guys. It isn’t far fetched to say we’ll get a clean sweep in Louisiana (the Moss thing has been said by a lot of people at this point), but I would not be surprised to see one leak out to Nick.

As for the OOS guys, if Iota is suggesting we’ll get more than 2 of them, then that’s definitely Koolaid. But getting one or two would just require lucky breaks for us. For example, beating out A&M for Perkins is not unreasonable.

I think we can probably expect to land every Louisiana kid we want except for maybe one (could be anyone). If we’re lucky, 2 big out of state “lucky breaks” (Armella + a Texas 5* would be ideal).

Seems very likely Perkins, Abor, Harris, and possibly Stewart want to play together. Would not be surprised to see at least the first 3 commit at similar times to the same place. Hopefully they pick the good guys, we’re definitely in the running because of the guys we already have committed

Usually when Bama is about to get a recruit the recruit gets a big jump. You can't lose when you are keeping score.

Anybody know what position we’re recruiting him as? I know it talks about him being a back end defender, but Jake Peetz is listed as his primary recruiter on 24/7. Any chance he plays WR? Seems like he would dominate at CB with that speed.
