Osu had a great defense this year. He might have sat the bench at osu, but probably could start for us

Huge if true. Ohio State reject CBs have been life savers out of the portal for us (yes this is sarcastic).

The problem is they stay injured all the time. Banks played a few plays in 2 years (injured the rest of the time). And J K Johnson got injured preseason his one year at LSU so far and hasn't played at all.

Yeah judging 2 guys who started at Ohio State (who has produced some top tier NFL defensive back talent) who had season ending injuries before they had a chance to make any impact at all is definitely the way to approach this!

I'm optimistic, but these are two guys who are not good enough to start at Ohio State. We are in bad enough shape that we could use these kind of depth guys, but what we really need is a young guy to develop into a great corner, or a portal stud. That's not what we're getting from OSU.

Guys can still develop late. That's what I like about the portal, sometimes a change of scenery or coaching can make the difference.

I noticed he appeared in 10 games in 2022 yet only 4 games in 2023, recording only 1 tackle. Anyone know why his playing time was limited? Was he hurt?

He got hurt then other very good DBs passed him up. No shame in that.

So more second and third stringers from non SEC schools. That helps.

Have you watched Michigan and Ohio States DBs compared to ours? They look like all Pros compared to ours. They definitely have guys on the bench Better than our starters. Dumb arse argument

Peaked at a Buckeyes message board. They are not happy that he hit the portal. Nothing but good words for him and his skills.
