Seeing how he made that statement immediately after they both visited LSU makes me think it’s good news for us.
And that's exactly what he wants you to think.

Or more likely the Georgia beat writer is trying to spin it for clicks after Maason had a great visit in BR.

Roy, Guillermo last year
Smith, Foreman this year.
Damn them trenches are getting filled

Reminds me of Foreman’s interview with the USC guys. They are going to talk up whoever they are talking to. Doesn’t mean anything imho.

Just don't understand the draw of UGA. Athens is nice but Kirby Smart is a joke and will always be runner-up no matter how much talent he buys.
From the quotes I’ve seen, he’s “one of the guys”. SVP last year had a video quote about it being cool Kirby slid down a water slide in cargo shorts or something...I guess that appeals to some kids.

Goddamn I do not like those quotes from maason one bit. Got a real bad feeling that he’s gonna be a bulldog.
Edit: lmao it will never not crack me up how upset people on here get if you express anything other than the rosiest possible opinion. I mean ffs get yourself together it's not the end of the world that some random dude on a random website thinks a random recruit might not pick a particular school.

Good lord. Some of you need to grow a pair.

My opinion doesn’t mean any more than the next average poster, but without our opinions this board is worthless...
That was an interesting read, even if it was hard to swallow in parts. I’m certainly torn now and not thinking he is 100% LSU as I had initially assumed a 5* DT playing football on the bayous of Houma would be.
He absolutely sounds like an independent thinker. And going out of state is MUCH MORE of a threat than I originally assessed. But I think ultimately family & proximity along with Coach O’s recruiting prowess keeps him “on the bayou” at LSU.
Negative leans:
-grew up a Bama fan and did not “like” LSU
-lived in GA with his mom for some time
-wants to “100%” play with Foreman. While this could be positive for LSU, he said there is a common Top 3, and that puts LSU’s odds at 33% spread evenly.
-LSU doesn’t have an elite communications program
This website pegs USC as #2 and UGA as #8 overall top Communications programs in the US:

GOOD NEWS
-FAMILY is important. His dad is in South LA (but he does travel a lot). Mom in Jackson is 2:40’ away from BR and 6:40’ away from Athens.
-Coach O treats his players as sons and you won’t find another HC with that much focus on training DL for the NFL. UGA has put squat in the NFL lately for DL
-2019 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, UGA not since the 80’s
-while we don’t have an elite Communications program, we do have Spears, Booger, and YES, Ryan Clark in the National spotlight for sports broadcasters
So COACH O, Marcus, Boog, & Ryan it’s time to do your thing here and let this young man know he can be an ELITE DL at LSU, have a successful NFL career, AND become a nationally known Sports talking head by staying “home” at LSU.

Do you not see the irony in this post? For not having a great communications program, LSU sure does have a lot of representation on the networks.
But here’s a link to someone’s opinion

And while it may not be the same sport, we have the one of the world's most recognizable figures in sports broadcasting in SHAQ.

Yeah I'm starting to get worried, not going to lie.
Maason talks about georgia glowingly in that article. I've never seen an article that long with that many quotes.
Do you think they really talked to brock vanagriff on his live saying they wanted to get back to georgia

I dont really know as I think there would be far more coverage of it. But if it is true then Id imagine we push for Bryce Langston or another DT maybe Elliot Donald(Pitt), or we take Trigg and a second RB.
