Deboer got his guy from Washington to transfer…this one makes sense. Wonder where he goes. A&M could use a big name qb

Wow, no program is safe in this new world of the transfer portal and NIL.

We need to stay on Underwood to keep him locked up. No one is safe in the NIL days.

The 247Sports point system for ranking teams is a bit funky to say the least but following this particular path it is a gigantic blow. If you bring up "Class Calculator", Alabama is listed at 312+ points for 2024 class. Take away Sayin, and they literally drop 20 points down to 292+. This looks to be the worst team ranking for Alabama in any recruiting class in many years.

They’ve got bigger issues than the Class Calculator on 247. And I’m here for all of it. Popcorn is ready and everything.

He just traded one of the top QBs in 2024 class for the #214 overall player in 2023 class.

Seems like a bad trade.

Looking at their schedule between losing established players and maybe 1 or 2 contributing new ones, looks very possible they could lose 4 games this season. Georgia at home, LSU and Tennessee on the road, and then add in 1 of Oklahoma on the road or Wisconsin on the road or Missouri at home. I would put the over/under of their 2024 record at 8-4.

Best guess is he would go back home to Cali.

If Sayin is leaving this early because of a guy with 0 starts he may not be what we all thought he was. That is the perfect offense for his skill set and the only qb in the room that has any significant experience is probably the least suited for their system. Add that to the fact that Bama would probably be willing to pay any number to retain as many guys as possible.

I completely understand why the defensive guys would bolt. Maybe even some rbs or Jalen Milroe. But Sayin and the receivers? Confusing.

Maybe. Maybe not. Plenty of the next “he’s the one” QBs have turned out to be hot garbage

Besides. Haven’t you heard? Old “can’t throw” Milroe already has the Heisman wrapped up the next two years.

But look at it from the other side of the fence. DeBoer has a relationship with his guy. Saying is/was always a risk to bolt for a bag. He may have felt more comfortable going this route. Either way, we keep getting proof that the Bama brand isn’t shite compared to the Saban brand. You hate to see it…

Dude. You can’t question Sayin on this board EVER. He’s literally a college football god to some of these people and has never played a single down of college football yet. They can see the future and already know he’s going to throw for 70 billion yards and 40 billion TDs every year he plays.

Confusing.

The coach you signed to play for isn't there and the coach that came in brought his own QB in.

I am confused about what you find confusing. It makes perfect sense in todays CFB world. You may not agree with it, but its certainly not confusing.
