In 2019 we didn't have the greatest OL and still waxed them

The line won the award for best in all of college football. It was an extremely good offensive line - way better than Bama’s. The very next season, as rookies, two of our offensive linemen were starting in the NFL, and a third probably would have been had he not been injured. MaGee got a serious NFL tryout, Ingram is still on the LSU team, but is a pro prospect, and so is Deculus. This is the line you are disparaging. Unbelievable!

Armella and Banks both?

Wowza.
Banks is trending down for us, and looks to be staying in Texas.

247 drags the composite down for almost every recruit. They have completely shite the bed on evaluations this year.

This so crazy. We got Campbell. In a good position for banks and this guy. Wow. Banks commits on the 4th. Going to be interesting.

What part of this is untrue, which could lead it to be deemed delusional?

We had a QB with absolutely elite pocket presence, so that made the line’s pass protection look way better than it was.

Besides that, the only NFL caliber players on our O-line that year was Cushenberry (3rd round pick), Damien Lewis (3rd round pick), Ed Ingram (projected mid round). Cushenberry has struggled. Lewis has been great.

Bama had Alex Leatherwood (1st round pick), Jedrick Wills (1st round pick), Landon Dickerson (2nd round pick), Deonte Brown (6th round), and Evan Neal (projected top 10 pick).

I love my Tigers, and the 2019 line was critical in winning the title, but Bama is simply elite there.

How does starting all 16 games as a rookie in the NFL mean LC has ‘struggled’?

Yeah it’s great that he has started but Broncos fans have said he’s struggled a bit. Doesn’t mean he won’t get it together in the future.

I know, I know!

I get.

Let's just forget that 247's rankings have NO OTs as a 5*. NONE! The have only FIVE 5*s! FIVE! None are OTs.

Campbell is a 4* for them, but he's also the #5 OT for them.

But carry on!

Landon Dickerson (2nd round pick)

That guy has had chronic serious knee injuries, didn't understand him getting picked that high so it was a Bama boost. That, and I can't stand his cheap shots on the field.

Bama boost… from an NFL team? If it wasn’t for his injury issues he was a 1st round talent. You sound like such a homer when you say stupid shite like that.

J F C! what the hell do you guys use as a yardstick? Rookie OL starts 16 of 16 games on NFL team and he is struggling... yeah, his team sucks but it aint because of him.

Think about how good that OL could be in just 1-2 years. Add Armella with Campbell, Dellinger and Dumervil and you’ve got 3 blue chip tackles. One guy could kick inside to guard with Martinez, Bradford and hopefully Emery Jones. Our OL has always been the reason we couldn’t beat Alabama but that gap is now closing fast. I like the new strategy of going after smaller guys and then have Moffitt build them up their freshman year instead of having to always fight a kid’s weight to get down like Kardell and Bradford.
