Sorry, dude, your vote didn't count for the Joe Moore award. LSU OL won the Award. Not Bama. LSU. If Anthony Munoz, John fricking Hannah, Dave Remington, Jim Stillwagon and Tony Mandarich had played on the Bama OL in 19' and another team like LSU won the Joe Moore Award, then that Bama line wouldn't have been the best OL in College Football. The Joe Moore Award goes to the unit voted the best OL in College Football. If some other unit won it that would be that. Whether Jeaux was Jesus Christ on a bicycle behind that line would not have mattered. But since he was, it helped the unit win...so what!
Not necessarily you, because I'm not familiar with your posts but some of these folks need to find some different subjects to shite on and let people who read and post here enjoy the reasonable disagreements for the entertainment they are.

J F C! what the hell do you guys use as a yardstick? Rookie OL starts 16 of 16 games on NFL team and he is struggling... yeah, his team sucks but it aint because of him.

While he played every snap in his NFL debut year, he was one of the worst centers in the league as rated by PFF. His overall grade was 40.2 (out of 100) and he was the lowest rated starting center in the league and one of two who had an overall grade less than 50 (Dan Feeney of the Chargers was the other - 48.2)

Llyod was the anchor on that lsu line and a big reason they won the joe moore award but he did struggle last yr in the nfl.

That’s 3 out of 5, AND you forgot Charles. That’s 4 out of 5 ASSUMING that Deculus is not NFL caliber. If Deculus makes a roster then all 5 were NFL caliber.

Really the only point that matters.

No question Cushenberry was the heart and soul of that 2019 OL and I think he will only get better with playing time in the pros but that Joe Moore trophy belonged to Burrow and Clyde. Joe was so great at getting the ball out quickly and escaping the rush while Clyde was good at picking up blitzes and either staying in to help block or leaking out for Joe to make the quick dump off to Clyde.

Um, no. The Award was presented to the OFFENSIVE LINE. Not the QB and the Running Back. The Heisman was presented to the QB. Each helped the other for crisakes!
Name one D1 - or HS for that matter - that does not teach it's QB's to get the ball out quickly and avoid the rush!!! One staff that does not Coach up its RB's to read the rush, pick up the blitz, and provide a safety valve if possible!!!
Who did or does play in the NFL means squat. Every player on that offensive squad did their job exceptionally well and the gawddahm Joe Moore Award went to the line!!!

I agree. Without burrow they don't win the award.

I did forget about Charles, that’s on me.

But you clearly missed the point of the post. All of our guys are mid-round talents. Which means we had a good line (which I never disputed). But Bama had multiple 1st and 2nd rounders whereas we had none. That’s the point. We didn’t have the best line.

If you really think that OL was the best unit in college football that year I’ve got some oceanfront property in Arizona to sell you cheap! They don’t win that award with another QB it’s just the truth.

Then why in the blue rat's arse didn't bama win the Joe Moore?
Wanna say: "because we beat them and we had a better quarterback"? O.K.! NOW---who won the Joe Moore Award as the best Offensive Line in College Football in 2019? Who won the freaking Award, Forrest? NO, dumbass it wasn't bama!
Tell you what, why don't you ask Jeaux who the best OL was in 2019? Or how about you find some other picayune deflection from fact to harp on, dimwit.

Bwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!! Oh, I've been laughing at that for hours! How super clever you are!!! Oceanfront in ARIZONA!!! Is there a bridge on it?????? Bwwwwaaaaa!!!!
Assling, whether it was Jeaux or Christ in tight britches at QB behind that line---in 20 years it will still say "LSU 2019" on the Joe Moore. Just like the Heisman will still be at Jimmy's on the mantel. As I stated before the entire Offensive Unit contributed to the Awards and EVERY PLAYER ON THE TEAM DID THEIR PART IN WINNING A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FOR LSU FOOTBALL IN 2019!!!
Oh, and why don't you ask Joe Burrow who the best Offensive Line Unit in College Football was in 2019? Would you agree with HIM, Forrest?

We had a QB with absolutely elite pocket presence, so that made the line’s pass protection look way better than it was.

Besides that, the only NFL caliber players on our O-line that year was Cushenberry (3rd round pick), Damien Lewis (3rd round pick), Ed Ingram (projected mid round). Cushenberry has struggled. Lewis has been great.

Bama had Alex Leatherwood (1st round pick), Jedrick Wills (1st round pick), Landon Dickerson (2nd round pick), Deonte Brown (6th round), and Evan Neal (projected top 10 pick).

No doubt you are correct about Burrow. And the NFL scouts certainly rated the individual Bama linemen better than LSU’s, but they were wrong in at least a few cases. The pros make mistakes, and if they redrafted it would look different. For example, Lewis as a third rounder is foolish.

But even if yoy stand by your (reasonable) position that Bama’s line was better, the point contended was that previous poster’s position that LSU’s 2019 line WAS A WEAKNESS! Jimmeny Crickets! We’ll probably end up with at least three NFL starters from that line.

The best individual players does not make the best OL.
Fact!
The best "team" of talented players make the best OL.
Georgia has had an OL made up of five star individuals for the last five years and had the "best" so called OL Coach. How have they played vs LSU?
I rewatched the SEC Championship game the other night. The announcers, pre game, were talking about Georgia's" "Road Grader" OL.
What happened?

We have a great shot... Julian played with Marlon Martinez and Marcus Dumervil from St. Thomas Aquinas.

Julian dad is also tight w/ Jack Marucci, who was an assistant athletic trainer at Florida State when Enzo was a Seminole.

None of this matters. How much is LSU paying in comparison to others is the only factor.
