If I recall the statement correctly, one tidbit was that LA 3 stars (on average) have actually outperformed out of state 4-5 stars (on average) based on their research.
This is obvious to anyone following LSU recruiting and why there should always be some caution with a “national” approach. You have the best talent in the nation right here in Louisiana

All Jack and Mario can do is present the data to the coaches. Up to them what they do with it and who they pursue.
I think the character metric is a big deal personally.

It’s hard to quantify character to begin with, much less with 16-17yr old boys.
The attrition after 2019 is a hit to his character metric. College football becomes even less predictable every passing year.
In LSU’s case, their safest bet is to continue to lock down the state & re-establish that state pride through football.

It can be measured but you have to use qualitative data and not rely solely on quantitative data. In other words, you can't give a kid a test to determine "character".
I'm a clinical psychologist and think Jack's work is great. Everyone he has shared it with seems to agree. His data is a gold mine.
LSU's teams that won championships scored significantly higher on his character metric than teams that didn't. That really shouldn't surprise anyone.

Recruiting momentum is not good right now at all

Maybe you missed the 2 commitments posted at the top of the board

2024/2025 doesn't mean much at all right now

Reed gone. Mickens gone. Chester possibly gone, based on that other thread.
We're going to need a ridiculous finish if we expect to hold on to a top 5 class.

Yeah, but as stated in this thread, we don't need a top 5 class, as long as we get a top 10 Louisiana based class...

Another CB for Smith, safety, top 150 player out of MS. Strong LSU leans at the moment in Ricks and Toviano. In the mix for Hall, Harbor, Washington and Akana. Also offered another top 150 overall D Lineman out of Mississippi. LSU is strongly in the running to retain a top 5 class. Chester apparently scrubbed a congratulations to Reed as well off social media. We will see brother but it’s still looking solid.

Toviano seems like a safe bet. I'm not too optimistic on Ricks given that Alabama is heavily involved. Harbor seems like he's either Michigan or South Carolina.
Need to hang on to Austin as well. It seems like we've been hearing about him flipping for months.

Kelly needs to enact a no-visit policy with LSU commits. This whole I trust you thing does not work with this newer generation of kids.

Mickens just made it official.

This is stupid - only idiots like Dabo and Venebles do this
Also slamming Mickens for wanting to be closer to his mom since his dad died is ridiculous

2 different insider are saying they fill very good on both and that new article on On3 about Ricks is very promising

It sure isn't working anymore. OU is 6-6 right now and Clemson has fallen off the last 2 years
