The only Tyrion you'll be seeing in Athens next season is on your HBO Go subscription when the new season of Thrones drops.

Noah Cain will also be in Athens this weekend, maybe he is not a AU or Texas lock after all.

I think that would be a great get for UGA. Supposed to be a December decision, so still plenty of time to get him

I haven't been keeping up as much - is the feeling around here now that Emery ends up at LSU and Cain ends up elsewhere?

That would be the feeling the past few days. Emery is going to Georgia this weekend for a big recruiting weekend, though, so we will have to wait and see if the mood changes next week.

Someone on the SEC-RB said Cain will not be there due to an IMG policy.

A coworker of mine went to high school with Emery's dad but has no inside information I keep asking him and he has no idea

Already mentioned I'm sure but seems like Emery (or his camp?) said something yesterday because of that influx in CBs.

Hope he has a good time on his Athens visit but leaves even more set on being a Tiger. Would love to see him in P&G.

Doesn’t Emery plan to announce before the season?

This kid has a golden opportunity at LSU. The stable is bare with young horses and significant snaps will be available immediately. All while being a legend in his home state and around his family in friends.

I realize the whole wanting Emery thing because he's a five star kid in state and is by all rights a very skilled football player. But I'm not sure why there are those of you out there who are knocking Cain and saying as if he's not a great player as well. Cain is the starter at IMG academy and literally plays every single snap he's in the Gane against the very best players on the very best high school football teams around the country. Just saying...Lousisana does have high level high school football at the 5A level but IMG is just another level entirely and Cain balls out against those guys...I'd take either in a heartbeat and honestly I'd rather Cain in the end. Siad it before and I'll stand by it.

There’s nothing wrong with Cain and I would love for him to come here as well. He’s not the every down back at IMG though. Trey Sanders who is likely going to Bama is there and is rated higher. Emery is a true homerun threat every time he touches the ball and possesses traits that Cain does not have. Both would be fantastic here.

Cain is really good at setting up his blocks but his top end speed doesn't compare to Emery. Both are really good backs but we are really lacking that speed element in our backfield.

Cain is a better all-around RB that doesn't have much ceiling left for growth. Emery is a true playmaker which makes him a much more enticing player. He's definitely better than Cain but that doesn't mean Cain is some mediocre RB himself. He's not super flashy but he'd be a guy who could come in, play immediately and have a very good career at LSU. You could probably compare him to many of the RBs at LSU over the years who were VERY reliable through their entire careers.

Emery is more on the level of someone like Fournette or Guice where each time he touches the ball you could see a 70 yard run. That's something we really need in our backfield. He's an elite playmaker. Davis is no slouch either. Combination of these 2 guys in backfield would be a top tier combination punch, IMO. If we only got Cain it would make keeping Davis way more important than if Emery came here and Davis just decided to head to Athens. I think Davis might be a little underrated in the rankings even though he's still ranked pretty high. Emery/Davis are both high tier blue chips in my opinion.
