Listen Matlock.
The case involved a school teacher from Texas that previously molested an 11 yr old girl and then got a teaching job in Louisiana and molested a 16-17 yr old girl.
Without getting into specifics, how is it shady as hell forcing both victims to testify to get a serial child molester off the streets and out of a school setting for that matter?
I'll hang up and Listen Judge Judy...

If you would have read the quote I was replying to, you would have seen that they were indicating that it was not against her will. If it were against her will, and proven, then I would Clearly be in favor of his punishment.

My God, what a trap this is if the girl propositioned him. I don't feel like people should be so quick to want to toss this boy like garbage over this.

I agree. When I first heard this, I was like ..."WTH...since when is it illegal for a freshman girl to give a HS boy a BJ?"

I understand if they raped her, of course that's wrong and they should go to jail, but if this is just a high school girl giving a high school guy a consensual BJ, then there's nothing to see here IMO.

while crimes are considered to be against the state, they are committed against persons

i can see the perceived nobility in getting a pedophile off the streets, but it is still at the expense of unwilling participants who have already been violated

This case isnt nearly the same but cases should be held in closed courts, where I can see protecting the victims this case would have let a pedophile out on the street to re-offend.
Sometimes it is necessary to protect future possible victims.

P.S. I'm just joking around, don't take this too serious.

Totally agree.

I certainly don't know the details of this situation, but if it was consensual, then I don't see anything wrong with a HS girl giving a HS guy a blowjob. Now, if it was rape or pressured, it's a totally different ballgame IMO.

All that said, these kind of guys should know better ... If you want to be in the limelight at a major program, all eyes are on you, and you better watch your step off the field.

If I was the one writing the laws, though, a HS senior having sex with a HS freshman would not be against the law. That statutory rape law (at least as it pertains to both parties being 18 and younger) is silly IMO.

knowing what I know from my playing days there I had basically pegged the situation right when I read the headline, and someone basically confirmed it.

If that's the case then frick this entire case. Statutory rape is a joke, although fourteen is really freaking young.
