There was a great time in LSU history, where it was a given, that if you were from Louisiana and got offered by LSU you would sign on the spot. Two generations later that same loyalty from the boys that LSU recruits now isn't the same for the most part. The love for state and school just isn't as important as it once was. Sad. Saying that, hope DD does stay home. LF was a classic example of love of state and LSU.

so should the same go for guys from Mississippi going only to Mississippi schools, or Texas kids only staying at their in state schools??

get over it.... we don't seem to have any complaints when we get guys from other states, which by your logic seems unloyal to the states we get them from....

i say frick it... if he wants to be at LSU, he'll be at LSU... if not, good on 'em... either way, both LSU and Dylan Moses will be fine...

Since a gereration is roughly defined as 25 years, you're saying that 50 years ago, most Lousisana recruits offered a football scholarship to LSU signed on the spot. That stands to reason. But, the world is changing and a lot of these recruits are finding that the world is bigger than Louisiana.

By the way, Hall Grange says, hi.

Yeah but that was the same for most big colleges with kids in their state or part of the state. Now all of college football has given more options to student athletes. Its not bad, its actually good for the kids, because we have some more than enthusiastic players coming from out of state who have always dreamed of playing for a team like LSU.

Obviously we want great players, but we want great players that bleed purple and gold...

If Dylan is such a lock to Bama shouldn't that reflect on 24/7 CB? He shows as a big lean to LSU. I know things can change at any moment.

OK, last time! CB's are worse indicators of recruiting than that coin in your pocket.

Let it play out boys. when it doubt or it is close Louisiana kids will usually pick LSU while Bama kids will go to Bama or Auburn. It is typically in their interest to do so.

You mean before the internet, twitter, instagram and 40 games on TV every Saturday? The world is far flatter today than it was 5, 10, 15, 20 years ago.

Besides, we are really only competing against one school for our talent - and frankly they've earned the right to take what they want.

Is that why LSU sucked so much in the past and missed so many "greats" that went elsewhere from Louisiana?

Boggles mind how much stock people put into CBs.

They're not doing a great job of that in Louisiana... No matter how much some people here want to believe

I think it is mainly the people who don't follow recruiting as much as others, those that don't read the tea leaves.

Moses may be feeling some state pride about now. I would bet Aranda made a big splash with Moses considering his reputation with linebackers.
