it's funny that the same people that talked so much crap about Jackson last year are celebrating now that it works out well for us.
or not funny, kinda pitiful really
The main difference is Copeland isn't from Tennessee, Jackson was from Louisiana in-state kids usually don't pull that crap on their home state. OOS do it all the time. It's jsut funny they got a similar taste with a long verbal commit switching last second. Like other posters have said a little bit of Karma with this situation and the Jackson situation period.

This was a huge surprise to all! Brandon Worle was even shocked when asked about it as was his coach. Last night (late last night), he [Copeland] called the media specialist, who is an LSU fan, to ask for a hat. She of course had one for him to borrow. So, his decision changed late last night and surprised all....very excited! This two kids from Troup (which is about 20 miles or less from the Auburn campus, I remind you) are terrific kids. Their background lives and how they overcame them could be movie worthy. BW and Copeland both had to borrow clothes for the announcement today...matter of fact, BW is wearing my father-in-law's dress shoes.
Great character is coming to Baton Rogue along with some serious work ethic!
Wow! Good luck to these young men, and all the recruits signing with teams today.

So where does this put us with EGO?

LOI is still not official per LSU, every site says he signed it already
LSU doesn't update the list until they receive the LOI. Maybe he was witnessed signing it, but the school secretary hasn't faxed it yet

Hey Guys, This one stings a little but I just wanted to say congrats on Copeland. He is going to be an awesome player. Recruiting is either hit or miss and we missed big on this one....
Anyway Congrats you got a good one....
Class

Ya'll have a great class getting together last minute though too. Rogers is on board for sure?
Congrats Copeland! Glad to have you as a Tiger!!!!!!

The Janzen Jackson issue is dead. We stole a football player and they took a convict off our hands.

That's what I want on our team.
Great to have them both. I was very excited about Worle and I'm even more excited about Copeland (because he can contribute early I believe).

Now I can watch that senior film that was posted on him that I didn't feel like torturing myself by watching before.

Its kinda funny Copeland pulled a bit of a Janzen on them, but really this loss for UT isnt as all that big.
They already have 2 higher rated DEs committed.
Great OOS pickup for LSU in a relatively weak in-state year.

Doesn't change anything...Ego is a DE and J.C. is a DT.

Just watching his highlight film for 2 minutes...he looks more like a DE than a DT b/c he is lightning fricking quick. Then again, what the hell do I know.

that Les Miles is something else way to go coach

He could definitely play DE, but we need DTs so that's where he'll play.

Rivals has him listed at 6'2 240lbs...He would have to add a hell of a lot of weight to be an SEC DT.
