What I'm saying is he wasn't some broke kid that was looking for a quick payday.

He might have been recruited to play there.

Those frickers were good last year. I can't remember if they won the championship or not. But they were blowing good teams out

Sounding like Ole Miss tampered him into the portal.

Kiffin has been daring the NCAA to come after him. It's time they take up his offer.

and apparently his best friend is entertaining joining him in the portal
LSU could use them both, but affording them might be another issue

If it’s Ryan Williams, they were 2 best players in the state of Alabama last year in HS. Both were phenomenal.

I’m a lurker not a poster. Since I live here, just sharing that Clay Chalkville is quite the opposite of an affluent school - 66% free and reduced lunch. I believe that’s about equivalent to Baker High in Louisiana for a comparison.

Kid was fun to watch in high school. Started at QB and scored touchdowns at will. Was the best defensive back on the field. And returned punts.

Press tried to corner him as a senior into saying he wanted to play offense too at Bama. He responded that he wanted to do whatever Coach Saban asked him in a way that made it clear he worked for Coach and not the other way around.

I don’t know him but know several who do, and they all say he’s a great kid. I can’t blame him for getting paid when offered.

Looks like he changed his mind, staying at BAMA.

Feels like another Kadyn Proctor

NCAA probably stepped in & told him no, but they need to punish Ole Miss

I seriously doubt the ncaa stepped in. I'm sure bama matched the offer.

A school would have to be really stupid to actually do anything against the rules. There are so many ways to communicate with players that aren’t prohibited. Tampering is a myth.

Yea Bama dropped some serious cash to keep him. Kiffin didn’t get his guy but he did cost the Bama collective some dough
