Since LSU missed out on Hootie, Adams has to be seriously considering Lsu.

He could be starting as a freshman.

Oh well that sounds like a pleasant exchange.

That is true, but I know one thing, and that's that LSU better stop showing up late to the party on these recruits like Adams and Sharp(OT), or we will end in worse position than what we have in the past.

Does Adams have any friends going to UT? I just don't see him passing up a chance to spend the next 3-4 years with Ed in BR! I did hear he was Joker Phillips godson or something like that but UF might force Muschamp to fire his entire staff! If Saban bolts for UT I wouldn't be surprised if Muschamp leaves and coordinates Saban's defense!

Hootie, paris, and Adams are top safeties in this class for reason. They are the elite at the position. It's not just business as usual to replace any of them. It hurts us that Hootie chose Bama, it will really hurt us at that position if Adams goes elsewhere. We have some great lower ranked prospects that can wind up being very good, or end like all the rest who were lower ranked and were supposed to turn into studs and have not come close. This idea that we can continue to miss on elite prospects and be fine is ridiculous.

man jamal is fast and strong. he carries himself well. and looks extremely tough. hootie seems like he may become pudgy.. almost linebacker-ish while adams seems to have a body to fill more solidly yet maintain elite speed.

just off the small tape i have seen jamal attacks the ball carrier with more authority. does he possess more physical attributes? he drives the carriers back.. seems a lot of hootie's tape he was just in the right place on poor passes for an int.. good hands.. but i think prefer adams tackling and ability. adams has superior closing speed. he also housed a couple kickoffs i believe?

the good thing is he is not really set on any certain school.. the fact he was going to go to florida is great.. he was going to a great defense.. and now florida is a mess. LSU should have a legit shot here.

i really like scout's write up on the two guys the best. especially positives and weaknesses.

we have a lot of potential at db coming in this class. add brown and paris (minimum) to white and robinson and that 4 is awesome. move white and paris to safety. add tolliver in 2015 and we have elite prospect at db in addition to guys like voohries and battle who may develop into top performers. losing hootie is not good but we are in a MUCH, MUCH better position than when we lost l.c.

The question is...Will he remain higher ranked now that WhoT has moved on? Is a Bama bump coming?

In my opinion, Adams looks and plays a lot like the other Gump LC. I'd love to see Paris and Adams at SS/FS.

How does Adams compare to WhoT speed wise? Where does Paris fit in that mix...speed wise? It looks like Paris is a prototype safety and I'm wondering if that is where he ultimately plays.

I doubt he's trolling. Hootie seems like a good guy he just made the decision that's best for him and his family. I don't see anything wrong with that.

I agree, but don't think he'll get a warm reception in Jefferson Parish Friday night.

maybe trying to mitigate LSU fan hate?

even though pretty much every response I've seen from an LSU fan on twitter is either congratulatory or at least pretty mild.

He doesn't "Love Louisiana"...repping Louisiana as B Harris is doing shows love for your state...If LSU sucked then I would respect a "business decision" but not in the last decade..Those advisors should tell him to shut down all communication with Louisiana fans...Be a man and live with your decision...
He will catch hell Friday Night...I can promise you...

This is certainly true. But LSU was looking at Adams seriously for a little bit now.

For the OP:
They have been flirting with each other for some time. At one time Adams was a RB?? Which would explain nothing more than flirting (if that's true). But more than Hootie becoming a Gump, this season Adams has done one helluva job and that's what caused LSU to look harder. In other words, Adams' has earned a spot in the top tier.

During that flirting, Adams made it clear he wanted a LSU offer. He has it now, so the situation regarding UF, UT, OM has changed. The sites will adjust as things develop.

Voorhies may indeed end up a S. He's put in work this year, big time, on the field and in the weight room. LSU did good getting in early with him. He probably needs some technique refinement at D backfield. But the athleticism is there for sure. It's obvious LSU needs to get better at stopping the run. A Paris/Adams/Voorhies combined with a more experienced White/Robinson (and a good MLB) will do alot.

Your chances appear to be pretty good. Bama seems pretty confident as well, with LSU looking like its in 3rd place at the moment
