Would be another blow to Kelly’s reputation as a recruiter.. you can’t even argue that
It is concerning but Kelly can't do any wrong right now... 90% of the board is in the "man crush"/honeymoon phase. Just give it some time. If Ed O was still here, people would be making it a big deal.

These U High kids oftentimes want out of BTR after 12yrs of Lab School. There’s your argument right there. #DoucheTroll

House is here now so what’s the problem? Oh yea he and his b!tch coach hate LSU
Posted on 6/15/22 at 8:48 pm to Mr Clean
Lol what a joke
Grinch has been at USC and Knowles has been at Ohio st for as long as house has been at LSU
You can say previous relationships from past schools but tell me all the stud LBs those 2 guys have developed

No, I don’t think so. There is a definite dislike for LSU. As many issues as O had, being a bad recruiter was not one of them. It is apparent Many HS, as far as football goes, does not like LSU. There is a new coaching staff and a proven LB’s coach. If the guy really wanted to go to LSU he would. Like the above poster stated uSC and OSU have different staffs now. The ball is in Many’s court and once again they are turning their back on the state flagship. It will not change because the administration at Many doesn’t wNt it to change.

You are aware that Many’s coaching staff did not like O-the only reason they’re giving LSU a chance is because of Coach House.

They’re not giving LSU a chance
LSU got a courtesy visit and some nice words
He’s committing in a month without officially visiting LSU giving the excuse of longer relationships with coaches who probably won’t even be there his whole career
Giving LSU a chance would be pushing back commitment date and seeing how they look during the season and taking an official visit

Oh OK. So the coach that led the flagship university to the greatest season in college football history is the reason he never considered his homestate Tigers? I call BS. Absolute and total BS. Oh and btw way we have the winningest coach in college football as our head coach with one of the most respected LB coaches on staff. I'm so sick of seeing this guys name on here. Defensive equivalent to Arch Manning. Bye Tack have you fun at some other state's flagship. Madison and Columbus are awesome smh

Just saying I read somewhere that the only reason for that courtesy visit was the new coaching staff

He wasn’t recruited hard by previous staff while the other schools built solid relationships

One school has a whole new staff and not everyone from Oklahoma went to LA
And another school has new defensive staff
he doesn't have to sign anything until Dec or Jan yet he's forcing his decision to be earlier so stop making excuses

Downvote me away but the best solution really is for Kelly to push for LSU to de emphasize athletics at the public private LSU high school, they have only become a force because we let it, we would be better off with the kids at Catholic High or something

It will turn around. If last years class would have been this year, we wouldn’t be seeing near as many kids leave. This class just wasn’t committed to LSU at any point and it would have been tough for this staff to flip that. Now if this happens again next year, I’ll worry then. I don’t think it will happen and this year is hardly over.
Guys our staff were recruiting their areas OR have been recruiting nationally for years now so those are the deep relationships that they have at this time and are trying to build here. That takes time.

I don’t give two shits who “Many HS” likes or dislikes. The point is if you didn’t like Coach O then thank Heaven there is a new coach at my home state’s flagship university and I can now attend and be a star in my home state. This is not what happened. The young man is choosing to go out of state, most likely, to a different university who too has a different staff from the previous year. Screw Many high school and their jackass head coach! He is steering kids away from LSU and it is evident.

Well his recruitment is far from over. Who’s to say that USC didn’t keep one of his main recruiters or that there was staff from Oklahoma that is now recruiting him to USC?
LSU just didn’t see much interest when the previous staff was here and they may have been correct in thinking this way? We could just be looking at a class that wants to leave the state of Louisiana but anything can happen once the season starts.
We all knew the top two QBs in the state was more than likely leaving and even that isn’t entirely done. We still have a QB who has talent and could end up with him or possibly flip someone or get a nice transfer. We will end up with a top 10 class, maybe better and could fill any holes with transfers again, or once the season starts, flip some guys to our side.
This has a long ways to go and our NIL hasn’t even really begun. When that fully kicks in, we’ll see some results from it. When the season begins, hopefully it’s as good as I believe it will be and we will see results from that as well. Next year we’ll have two top 5 classes to work with and a successful season under their belts. I wouldn’t flinch until all those things have occurred and we see the results from it. If things worsen or stay stagnant, then I’ll worry. Until then Go Effing Tigers!
