Bradford is the higher rated back

I know. I like Bradford a lot. Didn't really understand why so many on here were saying they only wanted Gibbs and they'd rather not take a back if we didn't get him. Seems like some of those same people were "unimpressed" with Bradford when his highlight video got posted.

A lot of posters just go with the masses I guess. I’d imagine Gibbs was a hot name on pay sites and folks ran with it.

Truth is Bradford is more highly rated and rightfully so.

He’s got elite acceleration and is a strong back

If he’s a “consolation” recruit, then Orgeron and staff are doing a damn good job

It's apparently a negative that his highlight tape consists of him outrunning people and NOT getting tackled.

I hate it when my running back doesn’t get tackled.

Lol yea exactly

I think a lot of people just forgot about Bradford bc we hadn’t heard his name in a while so maybe it feels like he’s a fallback but the reality is he’s an elite back.

I’ve watched Bradford throughout the TXHSFB playoffs and i wasn’t that impressed. Gibbs style fit LSU better. imo

I agree. Had nothing to do with pay sites for me. I know that Bama fans were drooling all over Gibbs months ago.

Your opinion is shared by some. Not all but some

I think the coaches are glad to get either one as both are outstanding backs

Gibbs and Bradford look like clones. Impressed with both.

IMO, the ratings of the 3 RBs talked most about here:
Evans - #1 (but his character highly questionable)
Gibbs - #1a (very little dropoff for Evans...faster than Evans but easier to bring down)
Bradford - #2 (also great with speed and shifty)
The 3 best players on Lancaster were Bradford, Caples (Boise State), and Lorando Johnson. Still IMO, but pretty obvious if anyone took the time to watch them play as I did.

The film doesn't show him BREAKING tackles, junking out someone, jump cutting or spin moves. It's all straight line speed. I highly doubt he'll be able to simply outrun everyone in college

That doesn't mean he won't be good or can't do those things. Just being extremely fast and able to read blocks goes a long way in college also.

I understand your point about not a lot of runs show him breaking tackles, BUT have you considered it might be better NOT to have to break tackles...just 'sayin. BTW, it isn't just straight line speed, he has moves which once again allowed him the luxury of NOT having to break tackles. For the record, I am NOT saying he is as hard to bring down as Evans but he is definitely faster and quicker than Evans for example. If he was as hard to bring down as Evans, he would be rated HIGHER than Evans

So many cuts and jukes in his HUDL

I’m hoping for him or Bradford. Hubbard doesn’t impress

I agree with this. I like our chances with Bradford. Gibbs and Evans roller coaster has been hard to predict. Nice that we are getting Gibbs to visit though. I think likelihood is Bradford followed by Evans and then Gibbs. Gibbs has best chance to really change. Evans is such a weird recruitment, but it still sounds like we are 1 of only 2 or 3 teams, which is good odds.

Cool. Does lsu take another safety or corner back besides Dwight that is committed ? Or is LSU good at those two positions ?

The class of Dbs looks good. Next year we have some big time DB’s as well.

Bradford isn't more highly rated anymore, and rightfully so!

Rivals has Gibbs as the #70 player nationally

Bradford #150

Lame arse bump. We want Bradford. Gibbs clearly doesn’t want to visit so no one cares about the rating.
